Maya's Pov

Irina-Sensei was teaching English while I minded my own business. I only talk Japanese at school and use English to speak to my parents and relatives; I was basically fluent at it. "Maya, go translate these words for me and say it in English," Irina-Sensei said. "Gusto ko magka jowa, pero sobrang panget ng mga kaklase ko." was written on the board. "You're a bitch sometimes," I said. "Shut up, kid, read it!" she scolded. "I want to have a boyfriend, but my classmates are really ugly," I said in English. All my classmates looked at me while Irina-Sensei giggled at what she wrote.

"Irina-Sensei, your pretty good at Tagalog. I want to see how much you can translate." I said with a smile. "Sure, kid, bring it on," she said confidently. I wrote on the board what I want her to translate. "Real funny kid, really funny," she said, angrily. "Go on, say the word and translate it," I said with a smirk. "Maya, what's 'Putang ina mo'?" Nagisa asked. I laughed at how he pronounced it. "Let Irina or Ritsu explain what it means, "I said.

"Ritsu, what does it mean?" Kayano asked. "It's a commonly used curse word in the Philippines, no exact translation, but it means 'your mom's a prostitute," Ritsu said. "I don't tolerate bad language in class," Irina-Sensei said. "Your name itself is a bad word. But of course, being the respectful person I am, I call you Irina-Sensei." I said.

After Irina and Lorvo had a competition, I waited outside the faculty lounge. I knocked 3 times and entered to see Karasuma on his laptop. "Sir, may I ask a favor?" I asked him. "What is it, Maya?" he asked. "I'd like you to train me every day after school," I said, bowing at him. "Why?" he asked. "As you've noticed, I'm weaker compared to my peers; since I joined later than them. So, I'd like to train more to improve myself." I said. "Sure, but aren't your parents going to be mad if you go home late?" Karasuma-Sensei asked. " I told them our class offers physical exercise after school, so they allowed me," I said.

"Tomorrow, after school," he said with a stern voice as he looked back at his work. "Thank you, sir," I said and left the faculty room. I walked out of the building and proceeded to go down. When I arrived at the line between the main building and E-Class, I heard rustling in the trees. "Karma, what are you doing there?" I asked. "I was trying to scare whoever student came down last," he said, smirking at me. "Well, that didn't work," I said.

My phone started ringing and saw an unknown number. I answered it with hesitation. "Hello?" I asked. "Maya, where are you? I'm at your house." the voice said. "Asano?!" I said his name in surprise. "Hurry up, I'd like to hear you play," he said through the phone. He ended the call, and I sighed. "Since when were you buddy-buddy with Asano?" Karma asked. "It's none of your business," I said and left him.

Karma's POV

In the distance, I see Maya exiting the campus with her earphones on. I went down the tree and decided to follow her at a safe, far distance. The walk took 15 minutes and arrived at what seemed like the neighborhood where her home should be. She knocked and was greeted with a little girl hugging her leg. She smiled and patted her on the head. Her house has a double glass sliding door on the front part of the house and a wooden porch.

I hid behind the closest tree and looked through the open double glass sliding door. There you could see a living room with a console piano, a long sofa, a coffee table, and a TV. On the couch sat Asano, a bag on his side, drinking juice and some sandwiches on the coffee table. "You took your time at school," Asano said after drinking the juice. "I had to tell my teacher something," Maya said, putting down her bag and sitting on the piano stool.

"Play me any song, so I can see what we need to work on," Asano said. Maya's little sister sat down on the couch next to Asano and ate one of the sandwiches. "I like Kuya Asano. He played with me awhile ago. (Kuya is a Filipino honorific to people slightly older than you, similar to big brother. Ate is for females)" Maya's little sister said. "Really, Mika? That's so nice of Kuya Asano." Maya said with a hint of annoyance in her tone. "Next time Asano, tell me when you'll visit. You made one of my classmates suspicious." Maya said. "Don't mind them tell them Asano picked you for a piano competition," Asano said after taking a sip on his glass. "I don't want anyone to find out about me playing the piano," Maya said. She turned to the piano and started to touch some of the keys. "I'll be playing Married Life," Maya said. She positioned herself and started playing.
