Jamie was sitting next to her new family on the cargo plane back home. The dog she trained, Delta, was laying by her feet. They were on the way to the base and getting out of this Hell hole. Jamie wasn't truly listening to everyone until she was kicked in the leg.
"Hey, Monroe." Epps said. "What's your perfect day?"
Jamie looked at her crew and blinked. For a moment, it looked like her other family was around her, but they weren't.
"My perfect day?" The blonde asked.
"Yeah." Lennox smiled. "Come on, you gotta have something."
She did. Well, she used to. She let a smile slip onto her face.
"I'm happy with what I've got. I've got y'all. Even though sometimes I wanna bash your heads in, you're still my brothers."
Everyone laughed and cooed at her, but Epps wasn't satisfied.
"What about before this? What about back home where you came from?"
She sighed, the smile falling.
"You know how I told you I drove in street races?" She asked and he nodded. "That family. I miss them. You know the feeling, right? The rush you get when you do something dangerous but you don't care? It's like that with racing. You never know what could happen. Your car could flip and explode, someone could crash you and nearly kill you, you could swerve to miss something and get put in the hospital or prison." She chuckled. "That's the life I lived before this. But I don't have that no more. I got this, and I'm proud to be here."
Her friends smiled at her and Lennox nodded to the others.
"We're here for you, street rat."
Jamie threw her head back and laughed. Epps laughed at her.
"Who was your family?" Don asked.
"Oh, you wouldn't believe me." She said.
"Try us."
She reached to her neck and pulled a locket out. She opened it and passed it around. Epps' mouth fell open and Don looked at her.
"You knew Dominic Toretto?!"
"Knew him?" She asked. "No. I lived with him. Mia, his sister, was my best friend."
They nodded and she put the locket back on. They landed and departed from each other for a while. Jamie tossed her things onto the cot and sighed, sitting down. But she doesn't rest for long when she gets a sick feeling to her stomach. And not the kind of puke sick. The kind of sick you get when something bad is gonna happen. And she never ignores the feeling. She rushes around and packs a bag full of first aid, frozen water bottles, MREs,and extra radios. She sits the stuff right beside the door, ready to split if she has too as she changed into her tactical gear.
She puts Delta's gear on and smiles. The second she finishes dressing, a phone rings. A ringtone she frowns at. She had never set this ringtone for anybody. She picks up the phone, unknown number. She hears a crash and pockets the phone before grabbing her bag and shooting outside. Delta shoots after her, barking at the soldiers. What the pair find makes both stop in their tracks.
"Is that a giant robot?!" She asks.
The thing turns to her, and her eyes get wide.
"Delta, move!" She roars.
The dog sprints, grabbing Epps by the collar and pulling him back to safety. The team of soldiers watch as Jamie fires her gun at the robot and it follows her. She sees a bar and smirks.
"Thanks for the gymnastic classes, mom."
She grabs the railing and spins up, launching her body onto the robot's outstretched arm. She empties a round into the monster's face before flipping backwards and landing on the hood of a truck. It was a supply truck. One with supplies still inside! She starts it and floors it after the tank, thanking anything in Heaven for the other soldiers distracting the robot from her escape, but fearing the death of her brothers and sister.
+somewhere across the world+
Dom was laughing while he talked to his family. Another job well done, and they were having a great time. Well, that was until a man came into the house. He was what looked like a sharp dressed kind of man, with sunglasses on.
"Mr. Toretto?"
Dom frowned. "Yeah?"
"Do you know a Jamie Lee Monroe?"
Mia looked over. "We all do, why?"
He handed the woman a file folder. Mia opened it and gasped. Dom glanced down at it and his heart dropped. A picture of Jamie in a military uniform, surrounded by a team of men and a dog in front of her. But what made him stop what he was doing was the death date under her picture.
"She's dead?"
"We're not sure." The man answered Dom.
Dom stood up. "Well make sure."
The man took off his sunglasses and made eye contact.
"Mr. Toretto, Miss Monroe joined the Armed Forces six years ago. That team four and a half years ago. When she was asked why, she told us that her family wanted her gone."
Dom flinched. He knew what had happened. He had been standing in the same room when Jamie left after yelling at Mia. Mia stood up.
"Where is she?"
The man looked at the black haired woman. "Come with me."
+time skip, Hoover Dam+
Jamie was pissed beyond measure. They had literally been taken to the damn Dam. She wanted to laugh at what her mind told her, but she didn't. She was still pissed off. Some kid was yelling for them to release his car, but he was being ignored. Lennox was just as pissed as her, but both kept their cool. Well, that was until two people that Jamie thought she would never again see in her life joined the little party. And Jamie just snapped.
She grabbed an agent by his throat and slammed him into the wall, taking her gun and aiming it at the man's chest. Lennox did the same to the annoying guy. Everyone is arguing until she shoves the agent away and fires three shots into the air. Everyone looks at her.
"Shut the fuck up!" She snaps. "Give the kid his damn car, give my my dog back, and get me the Hell out of this place! I have has enough of this stupid shit for more than twenty lifetimes. I was attacked by a giant robot. A giant. Metal. Robot. And now I have fucking Dom and Mia to deal with! So for the love of God do the shit we want or I'll just kill everyone here because I DON'T CARE!"
Lennox smirks. "Thank Jamie."
"Sure thing." She grumbles, rubbing her head.
"Fine! You wanna put the fate of the universe in the kid's camaro? Fine."
Jamie spins around. "Wait, you have a robot?!"
"It's a good guy."
"That's what everyone said about Brian." She glares at him. "If I don't like this, I'm going AWOL."
"I'll come with you, girlie." Epps tells her with a laugh.
She swings her arm around him and they head to get the car. Halfway there, a bark stops Jamie.
"Delta!" She yells.
The dog runs and tackles her owner to the ground. Jamie hugs the dog with all she's worth while Lennox and Epps pet the Pitbull as well.
"Happy to have you back, Delta."
Jamie gets up and smiles at the guys.
"Alright. Now we can go."
