Part 13

Jamie couldn't back out now since she was already parked in the circle of bots. She took a very long breath and got out, the blue lines shining now that she was closer to them. She had no idea what was going on, but Tessa was beyond happy to see her. She hugged Jamie with all she was worth.

"Hi Tessa."

"They brought her before we could warn them..."

When Tessa moved over, Jamie froze. Standing right there was a cute little girl with wide eyes and tears falling down her face. She launched forward and hugged Jamie's legs.

"Mommy the mean men tried to hurt us!" She cried. "Don't let them take me!"

Jamie had no idea what the Hell was going on, but she dropped to the ground on her knees and held Amanda as close as she could.

"Oh my god." She breathed. Then she pulled away. "Mean men? What are you talking about?"

"Someone called the mean men and they tried to kill Tessa!" Amanda was still crying.

"Amanda, look at me. Look at me!"

Amanda sniffled and looked into Jamie's eyes.

"Amanda, what do you mean they tried to hurt you? And kill Tessa? What are you talking about?"

"Lucas called the government about Prime." Cade said. "Your ex brought Amanda over before we could do anything. They were already gone when the men got there."

"You mean to tell me that my daughter was in danger because of a bot?" She growled.

"It wasn't his fault, mommy." Amanda said, making Jamie look at her again. "He saved us!"

She couldn't look at Prime so she just hugged Amanda again. She looked at Cade.

"Where is my cell?"

"Catch."

She caught his phone and put it to her ear after dialing. The voice that answered was one that came from lips she wished were on her own.

"Lennox."

"It's Jamie. I-"

"No." He interrupted her. "You can deal with whatever it is on your own, Monroe. I won't be a part of it anymore."

"Will-"

"Don't." Then he hung up.

She groaned and put her head in her hands, Amanda frowning.

"Mommy, your tummy big..."

"I know." She mumbled. "Look, I want you to listen very closely."

Amanda stood at attention, making Jamie smile a little. She started to speak very firmly to get it through the child's head.

"The Autobots are friends, not foes. I trust them with my life, and always will. I want you to listen to everything they tell you, okay? I need to go see someone." She looked at Bee. "Can you watch her? Three hours, five tops. I need to see William, whether he likes it or not."

Bee nodded and she kissed Amanda's head before looking at Cade.

"If something happens to my daughter, I will kill you."

"I won't let that happen."

She smiled and got back into her car before she spun dirt everywhere and drove as fast as she could to see William Lennox.

The woman that opened the door was not happy to be woken up at three in the morning. Jamie looked at her.
