Yoongi tried to join the conversation between his friends, but he still had the whole day to work. Jimin took a sip of his coke and spoke with Taehyung about the secret birthday party they would organise for Jungkook. The youngest had to go to the toilet, so they had the time to speak with each other about it before Jungkook would know about it. ''Lots of balloons, I like those things.'' Jimin suggested with a smile and Taehyung nodded while he wrote it down in his phone. ''We need to go to the bakery in town for a birthday cake. That's gonna be easy.'' Taehyung said with his eyes focusing on his phonescreen. He made a list with all the things they needed for the birthday party, it was easier that way. ''How old is Kookie gonna be?'' Jimin asked Taehyung who finally looked up. ''Twenty. Little teenager is gonna be an adult.'' The purple-haired boy smirked and saved the list in his phone. He immediatly put his phone away when he saw Jungkook coming from the restrooms. When Jungkook sat down in his seat next to Jimin and on the opposite of Taehyung, he ordered a bottle of beer. Jimin looked at him with big eyes while Taehyung just grinned the whole time. Yoongi put down the bottle of beer in front of Jungkook and with a smile on his face, Jungkook slided the bottle to Jimin. ''But I thought you said-'' . ''We need to enjoy the time we have left. So if you want some beer, fine. I just want you to be happy.'' Jungkook interrupted Jimin and he saw how much the red-haired boy appreciated everything he did for him. ''Otherwise I would have bought beer for you.'' Taehyung said with a smile and Jungkook sighed. ''Damnit, Tae. You're always ruining the mood.'' The black-haired boy said and it made both his friends laugh. Jungkook looked at Jimin with a smile on his face. He loved Jimin's laugh, he loved everything about Jimin. His happiness meant more to Jungkook than his own. ''Jimin-ah.'' The trio all looked at Yoongi who stood by their table again. ''I just wanted to say that I think you would be perfect for working here. Recently, one of our kitchen assisants quit and I can just imagine you standing there in the kitchen, what do you think? You'll have a nice salary.'' Yoongi explained to Jimin who shrugged his shoulders. ''I don't know if something like that is suited for me.'' The red-haired boy simply answered and looked outside. It was a cold and windy day, even though it was summer. It had rained all day and it didn't stop, so Jimin guessed that a storm would take place tonight. He always guessed right about those things when he was at home, he could tell it by the weather. The three boys weren't the only ones at the beach café, it was almost full by people who mostly looked for shelter against the heavy rain. Taehyung wanted to visit Yoongi, and Jungkook and Jimin wanted something to drink, so that's why they went to the beach, even though the weather was awful. ''Alright, you can always apply, though. If you change your mind.'' Yoongi answered and Jimin nodded with his head. Taehyung winked at Yoongi and the mint-haired waiter walked away from their table to take the orders from other customers. ''Dick.'' Jungkook sissed between his teeth while he looked at Yoongi when he walked away. ''Kook, calm down. He didn't do anything to you.'' Taehyung comforted him and Jungkook rolled with his eyes because he felt unamused. ''And that's the point. The fucker ignores me and just asks Jimin for a job. Asshole.'' Jungkook had a growl in his voice and Jimin honestly liked it when Jungkook's voice was like that. ''I don't want to work here. I'm not doing anything without your permission.'' The soft voice of Jimin said and Jungkook calmed down when he heard his voice. It was the only thing that could calm him down when he started to get annoyed and angry. ''Yoongi was just being nice.'' Taehyung muttered under his breath and Jungkook looked at him with ice-cold eyes. ''Tae, don't. If you had to choose between your best friend or your crush, who would it be? Me or Yoongi?'' Jungkook asked his best friend. ''Taehyung has a crush on Yoongi?'' Jimin gasped and the purple-haired boy immediatly reacted. ''Ssst! Jimin, shut up!'' The hard words of Taehyung made Jimin flinch. He wasn't used to being scolded or being told to shut up, because everyone was always sweet to him. He almost never got mad, only at his older hyungs when they had a fight, what didn't occur often. But every human Jimin had encounterd, was really nice to him. ''Don't change the subject, Tae.'' Jungkook said to Taehyung who looked really annoyed. ''I'm not choosing a side, but I'm just saying that you could be nicer to Yoongi. Damn, I thought Yoongi was cold, but you are literally ice.'' The purple-haired boy said with a rude tone in his voice and Jungkook's eyes widened when he realised what Taehyung just said to him. Jimin was being silent, what was probably the smartest thing to do in the heated situation. ''Did you just-'' . ''Yes, I did. Jungkook, you really need to calm down. Since you got to know Yoongi, you have been acting like he is straight up rude to you. At first I thought you were kind of right, but now I realise that you're just a goddamn drama queen who likes attention and being a dick to everyone around you.'' Taehyung was getting more annoyed with the second and Jimin could feel Jungkook could burst out in anger any moment by the fact that his best friend insulted him. ''He isn't a dick to me.'' Jimin softly muttered and Taehyung sighed. He wasn't mad at Jimin, ofcourse not. It wasn't his fault, he was mad at Jungkook. Jimin was innocent in this situation. The red-haired boy had already finished his bottle of beer, but he didn't felt any different. He grabbed Jungkook's right hand to calm him down. ''We should leave. I don't want a fight to happen.'' Jimin whispered to Jungkook who didn't break the cold eyecontact he had with Taehyung. ''Yeah, let's go.'' The black-haired boy answered and stood up from his chair. Jimin did the same and felt dissapointed that the fun conversation between the three of them had to end like this. ''I'm sorry for Jungkook, Taehyung. I hope you guys can get along tomorrow.'' The red-haired boy apologised and the purple-haired boy shook his head. ''It's okay, Jiminie. It isn't your fault. See you tomorrow.'' Jimin nodded and the two boys walked away from the table. ''I want to pay for the drinks.'' Jungkook said when he ran into Yoongi who just got some orders done. ''It's on the house, don't worry.'' Yoongi answered and smiled a little when he saw Jimin standing behind Jungkook. ''I want to pay for the drinks.'' Jungkook repeated in a threatening tone, his brown eyes were cold and their stare was deadly. ''Oh, okay.'' Yoongi muttered and Jungkook followed him to the cash register. The black-haired boy quickly paid, because he wanted to leave the beach café as fast as he could. Jimin was just standing behind him, his hands were hidden in his sweater paws and he pouted a bit, because he felt dissapointed. ''I hope to see you two soon.'' Yoongi greeted Jungkook and Jimin who left the beach café. ''If soon means never, then I'm totally fine with it.'' The youngest said under his breath and it made Jimin shook his head. The rain wasn't that heavy now, so it was safe for Jimin to go outside. The two walked to the parking lot and got into Jungkook's car. The ride from the beach to Jungkook's home wasn't even five minutes, so it was silent in the car, because the two didn't talk to each other. They both wanted to, but the heated conversation between Jungkook and Taehyung just happened, so they both had to forget about it first. They spend the whole day doing nothing and Jimin had to admit it felt fantastic and relaxed, just being lazy for a day instead of visiting places. The two sat on the couch in the living room, cuddling with each other while they watched reality shows. When it was dinner time, Jungkook heated up some instant chicken noodles in the microwave, instead of preparing a really fancy meal. It felt relaxed to be lazy all day, watching TV and eating chicken noodles while it rained outside. Jungkook and Jimin sat there all day and they didn't even watch the time, until Jungkook realised it was 11:30 PM. ''Damn, it's late. Let's go to bed, we'll clean up tomorrow.'' Jungkook offered and Jimin didn't want anything more. They turned off the TV and the lights in the living room and walked upstairs. They took off their clothes until they were dressed in their underwear and Jungkook closed the curtains and turned on the lights, while Jimin went to the bathroom. The black-haired boy was waiting for his friend to come in bed, so that they could both sleep, but Jimin wasn't coming. Jungkook went to the bathroom and saw Jimin sitting on the ground on his knees by the bathtub. He leaned over the tub and looked at the surface of the water. He had turned on the bathtub, but it looked like he didn't want to go in. Jungkook saw the stare in Jimin's eyes and realised the mermaid was thinking about something deep. His right hand was a few centimetres above the surface and his eyes were focused on the rippled water when his fingertip touched it. ''Do you miss the sea?'' Jungkook suddenly asked his friend who didn't look at him and just continued with staring at the water in the tub. ''Sometimes.'' Jimin answered with his soft voice and Jungkook immediatly felt bad for him. And then in just a second, it looked like the mermaid was snapped out of his calm trance. He stood up from the white tiles of the bathroom and returned to the bedroom. Jungkook drained the tub while he brushed his teeth and his eyes watched the water sink down to the drain. He felt so bad for Jimin and he couldn't help it, but he also felt guilt. When Jungkook finished brushing his teeth, he turned off the bathroom light and walked to the bedroom. Jimin was already laying in the bed, his eyes were closed. Jungkook closed the door and snuck into his side of the bed. He turned off the night light that stood on the little nightstand beside the bed. It was dark in the room and it was the first time in the whole week Jungkook felt so tired. He laid on his side and closed his eyes. He was glad Jimin was always next to him, because he needed his comfort. With that comforting thought, the black-haired boy fell asleep.
