Chapter 15

"I'm not hiding anything!" Sydney started to freak out. "Sydney, what's going on?" Sam asked her, gently placing one of his hand on her arm and the other cupped her cheek.

"Nothing! Nothing! I didn't do anything! I'm not doing anything! I'm not hiding anything!" Sydney started to cry. Sam pulled her into a tight hug as tears streamed down her cheeks and she let out soft cries.

"What happened?" Dean came in, his face red and looking mad. "I'll tell you later, but don't fully know what's going on," Sam responded. "Cass, is she hurt?" Dean asked, his face slowly losing color. "Sydney is not hurt," Castiel responded. "Nothing!" Sydney cried out simply, trapped a tight hold on Sam's flannel. "Sh, Sydney. I got you, girl." Sam said in a hushed voice.

It's in the middle of the night and Castiel went away. All Sydney could think about was Gabriel and what's going to happen to him. "Now please, tell us what happened. You can always trust us." Sam told Sydney. Sydney sat there, hands slightly shaking as she looked at her two older brothers.

"I...um, I-I..." was all Sydney could get out. Sam and Dean looked at each other, eager to know what's going on with their baby sister. "I love you guys so much." Sydney blurted out to her brothers. Sam and Dean look back at her, a smile on their faces.

"We love you too sweetheart," Dean said back, getting up from his chair and placed a kiss on Sydney's forehead. "I can't tell you." Sydney whimpered. Sam sighed and hugged her tightly. "I think you should go ahead and sleep," Sam suggested.  "Ok." Sydney nodded, getting up from the chair.

Sydney laid down under the covers and curled up. She heard a flutter of wings and heard Castiel's voice and soon her brothers. Castiel soon looked over at Sydney, knowing that she wants to listen to what's going on. After a few minutes, Castiel sat the edge of the bed and tucked stray hairs behind Sydney's ear.

"I know you are awake Sydney," Castiel said. Sydney opened her eyes and made eye contact with Castiel. "I thought you left," Sydney stated. "I did, but I came back. Gabriel is alive and your thinking of him." Castiel stated. Sydney went wide-eyed and didn't say a word.

"Sydney, you love him don't you?" Castiel asked, tilting his head. All Sydney could do was a nod and stay silent. "Go to sleep now, I wouldn't want you tired tomorrow," Castiel said. But Sydney didn't close her eyes, she just curled up more. Castiel laid two fingers down on her forehead and Sydney went straight to sleep.

"Isn't she beautiful." A voice said behind Castiel. Castiel stood up and looked to where the voice was coming from. "Gabriel. You feel affection towards Sydney?" Castiel asked surprised. Castiel hasn't seen his brother in so long, not in a couple years. "Of course I do little brother!" Gabriel smirked.

"I love her so much. She needs to get away from this place, to someplace safe." Gabriel told his brother. Castiel looked at Gabriel, still surprised that he is seeing his brother that he thought was dead. "But first, I need a hug Castiel," Gabriel said. Castiel walked towards him and the two angels hugged.
