I've known Austyn since we were both 8 years old. We're both from London and we both went to the same school and been in the same exact classes since 3rd grade. When she told me that her family was moving to her Florida, I was crushed. My best friend, moving to another country?? For 6 months, I begged my mother and step father to move to Florida just so I could be around Austyn again.
I was in complete disbelief when they agreed. I can remember my mother sitting me down and telling me "Harry, you haven't been yourself since Austyn moved away. You're depressed and emotional. And after a lot of consideration, your step father and I have decided to move to Florida. Robin (my step father) has found work in Jacksonville at a law firm, so this works out great for everyone." I thanked my mother and Robin and couldn't wait to call Austyn and tell her....
Eight years later and here we are. Living on the same block, working together, and she's still my favorite girl.
12:30 pm rolls around & Austyn says "so how about that Taco Bell you owe me?" I was pretty hungry myself, so after clocking out for lunch, we got in my car and left. On the way there, Austyn turns the radio up and forces me to sing some cheesy pop song with her... "When you're ready come and get it, na na na na na na na" She looked so cute in the passenger seat singing along to Selena Gomez. I'd never tell her that I loved seeing her like this. So young and carefree. She is and always has been my best friend, no way we could ever be anything more, right?

20 minutes later

We finally arrived at Taco Bell after what felt like 2 hours. Thats Jacksonville traffic for you. You could be stopped at a traffic light for 10 minutes. Sure makes me miss being in London.
After eating lunch, we headed back to work. On the way there, I look at Austyn and say "wanna hang out tonight? I got the new Outlast game." I know she hates that game but its fun watching her get scared at certain parts. Shit, even I get jumpy playing it.

"Sure, let's do it. I'll bring the provisions." She agrees.
Considering we live 4 houses apart from each other, you'd think we hang out all the time but you'd be wrong. The only time we ever really see each other is at work or when we face time. Her family doesn't get along with my family so as long as we're both living with our parents, we had to keep our hang outs to a minimum.
Tonight however, was different. My parents were out of town and my sister Gemma was with her boyfriend.

"I'll be there around 8." Austyn said as we got out of my car and made our way back into work.
