I was getting ready for my best friends performance. Harry had told me that this performance tonight was special for him, I was curious as to why.
Scouring through my closet, I decide to wear high waisted light blue skinny jeans, a black off the shoulder crop top, my favorite floral cardigan and black converse. My hair was laying straight and my makeup was minimal.
After arriving at Metropolitan Park, I started looking for my friend, Sabrina. "Austyn!" I hear Sabrina waving me over. She looked cute dressed in a maroon v neck sweater, black bootleg jeans and white toms. Her dark hair was styled in loose waves. Her chocolate skin tone was glistening in the sunset. She's beautiful. "Hey, how are you? Have you seen Harry yet?" I ask while hugging her. "Yeah, I saw him in the back getting ready a while ago. I saw Niall too and he's looking adorable." Her face lights up at Niall's name. "Let's go find them." I tell her.
As I finally find the boys I hear Harry tell Zayn, "I hope Austyn enjoys the songs tonight. After all, a couple of them are for her." "She'll love them, mate." Zayn says to Harry, comforting him. Before I have a chance to greet Harry, I hear someone on stage saying, "ladies and gentlemen, its now 7:00 pm and its show time! Let's give it up for our favorite local boyband, One Direction!" I start cheering along with the crowd. The boys make their way onto the stage and Harry locks eyes with me. "Austyn, this one is for you." My heart skipped a beat.
"People say we shouldn't be together, we're too young to know about forever, I say they dont know what they're talk talk talking about.
Cause this love's only getting stronger and I dont wanna wait any longer.
I just wanna tell the world that you're mine girl
They dont know about the things we do, they dont know about the I love yous but I bet you if they only knew, they would just be jealous of us.
They dont know about the up all nights, they dont know I've waited all my life just to find a love that feels so right

As the song wraps up, Harry says over the microphone, "Austyn, youre more than just my best friend. You're my girlfriend and my favorite person in the whole world. I love you, Austyn." I hear the audience simultaneously "awwwwww." Everyone is looking at me and I feel my face redden. "Everyone, we're gonna take a short break and then we have a couple of more jams for ya!" Niall tells us. As Harry walks off the stage, I walk over to him, wrap my arms around his neck and say, "that was amazing Harry! Thank you. By the way, I love you too." Tears welling in my eyes. He passionately grabs my face and kisses me.
One Hour Later
After performing a couple of their slower songs, Liam tells the audience, "alright enough of these slow jams, time to dance!"

After the boys are done performing, Harry and I dance while some other local bands perform. I notice Niall and Sabrina dancing as well. She's laughing at a joke that Niall told her. "He heard that joke from me last night," Harry tells me and he playfully pouts his bottom lip. "Aww Haz, I'm sure you told it better anyways." I say, laughing. Harry looks down at me, "I love you." I will never get used to hearing that. "I love you too Harry."
My heart is so full right now.
Harry and I spend the rest of the music festival dancing to 1000 Years by Christina Perri. "I have loved you for a thousand years, I'll love you for a thousand more." Harry sings into my ear.
This was officially the best night of my life so far.
