-Cassidy-
I wasn't all that close to Lindsey at all. I mean she was sweet and all, but I didn't really know her very well. If anything I was uncomfortable around her because of her utter beauty. She was nothing short of the most beautiful women in the entire world. No, not beautiful, because that doesn't describe it well enough. There is no word in the English language that could possibly describe the appearance for Lindsey.
I think I'm a fairly pretty girl, but next to her, I feel like a donkey. Gerard seems love struck by her. Which is perfectly healthy, considering he could be worse off by focusing on drinking, smoking and popping pills. Gerard is going to be my brother in law, so I have to look out for him, right? Mikey would want that. I mean, I want to do all I can before I have to leave them. It’s so hard thinking that now that I am living my life, having fun, and falling in love with the man of my dreams, it’s all going to get taken away from me in the blink of an eye, and I won’t be able to do a single thing about it. But I need to keep my head held high, keep fighting, and have the time of my life.
Lindsey drove us to this big fancy dress store nearby. Every dress we looked at was white and girly. Had you shown me these dresses a few months ago, I would have loved to wear one. But now, I have grown quiet fond of simple, band wear. So I decided I didn’t want a big fancy expensive white dress. I just want something simple. Clearly, Lindsey had other plans. She went straight to the most expensive to dress in the entire store.
“No no no Lindsey! That’s way too much. I only want something simple. I’ll be dead any day now, we can’t go spending a ton of money on a dress I’ll only wear once!” I said
“How many times are you going to get married? Once. And do you love Mikey? Yes you do. So although you think it’s no big deal cause you’ll be dead in a few days, it is still a big deal. Mikey will still be able to remember everything. So would you rather him remember you as the girl he married in a paper bag or the girl he married who looked like Cinderella?” Lindsey asked
I saw her point. But I still didn’t want an expensive dress. I was just about to tell her I’d meet her half way, when I saw this dress. It looked EXACTLY like the dress in the Helena music video. And it is what I had in mind that goes along with the band/simple look. I pointed to the black dress. Lindseys jaw practically dropped to the floor. She squealed and ran to the dress.
“Oh Cassidy it’s perfect for you!!” She said
I nodded, it truly was. It was stunning. I looked at the price tag, it was only $500, for some reason I was expecting more. Probably because I was thinking it was going to be too good to be true. Yet here it was, right in front of me. The perfect dress.
Lindsey and I went to the change room and she carefully helped me get into it. It looked amazing.
We took the dress to the counter, paid for it, and rushed back to the bus.
