Chapter 8: Confessions

Lizzie's POV
"I'm catching up Lizzie!" I yelped and ran faster. And I saw it. The top of the mountain. I raced forward, pushing my limit, which caused me to trip on a rock and fall. "You okay Lizzie?!" Joel grabbed my hand and helped me up. "Yeah I'm perfectly fine." I smiled and let go of his hand. I took of sprinting and arrived at the top of the mountain. "Beat ya!" I mischievously glanced at Joel, as he jogged towards me. "You guys are fast." Panted Tiffy as she appeared beside me. "Yeah your REALLY fast." Replied Mario, and looked behind him. "And here comes the slowpokes." Giggled Tiffy, and I looked down to see Bee and Will slowly descending, with wobbly knees. "I wish Stacy came." Bee said as she finally arrived with Will at the top. "She wanted to hang out at the Pool with Mirro and Yammy I think." I said, and looked towards Joel. "Can I talk to you Lizzie?" Asked Joel, and before I could say yes, he pulled me over away from the group. "Your a really good friend, Lizz." Said Joel, as I blushed. "I like you a lot Lizzie. Your so beautiful, and I just love you so much." Joel grabbed my hand, and I kissed him gently on the cheeks. "I love you too." I replied, and turned towards the group. "#Jizzie is in Business!" Hollered Will and we all laughed together. "Maybe another ship could start..." Said Red, and looked towards Tiffy. "I'll be your Princess Peach, Mario." Winked Tiffy and grabbed Red's hands. "Ready to go down Lovebirds?" Bee asked with a snicker. "Let's go." I said. "Race ya!"
Stacy's POV
"Stacy, did you splash me?" Asked Yammy raising her eyebrow. "Did I?" I smirked at Yammy, and splashed more water into her face. "Oh I'm coming!" She began to swim closer to me. Luckily, I was a fast swimmer. I quickly back stroked towards Mirro, who was sitting on the edge of the pool, reading. I put my finger to my lips and Yammy nodded. We both snuck up under Mirro's legs, and Yammy quickly snatched Mirro's book, trying not to get it wet. She slid it away from the pool. "Hey, what'cha do that fo-" I pulled on Mirro's Legs, and she came tumbling into the water. Me and Yammy bursted into laughter as Mirro rose from under. Mirro gave us a smirk. We chased each other around the pool for a few more minutes, until the doors of the pool bursted open with familiar voices. In came Joey, Graser, Nathan, and a boy named Daniel that Joey texted me about. We all paused, exchanging glances with each other. "Welp, I guess we're sharing the pool." Said Yammy and continued to elegantly swim. I rolled my eyes at Graser, and turned away. "Cannonball!" Joey dived into the pool, and Daniel followed. Nathan was holding a book, and I nudged Mirro. "You got your match." I giggled, and watched him sit down by the pool. Daniel and Joey continued to talk, and I heard lots of laughter in their conversation. Graser hung close to me, and I ignored him. Suddenly, I felt a splat of water on my back. Graser continued to splash me, and I rolled my eyes. I went into a back stroke position, and began to quickly kick my legs. Lots of water exploded onto Graser's face. I giggled, And stopped. "So  Graser, how's life?" I asked, and shuffled closer to him. "Meh it's ok. But it's better with you." I blushed, and strangely didn't felt annoyed at the comment. I saw Joey come over, and stood beside me. "Stacyana, I see you have your typical stacy vibe." Joey pointed to my Blue and white striped swimsuit. "Yep. That's me." I winked and Joey and we began to talk. Graser seemed to disappear, because he didn't join our conversation. I became closer and closer to Joey. "Your like a sista now Gurl." Said Joey, with his typical sassy voice. "Yeah." I smiled, and noticed Joey staring at Daniel. "Stacy? How do you tell someone you like them?" Joey blurted out. "Get to know them, don't be shy to talk to the person, and become closer to them. THEN tell them." I patted Joey, and realized my theory was true. He was gay. It didn't change anything about the way I felt about Joey, but I was still a bit shocked.

Stacy's POV
"That's when they never found the body..." finished Graser, and Tiffy cuddled closer to Mario. Lizzie dug her face into Joel's chest, and I awkwardly was left out. Bee and Will were touching each other's hands, and Joey, Nathan, and Daniel sat together. Other people crowded around the campfire, and a teacher stood up. "I think that's enough for today. Do you have your sleeping bags everyone?" Asked Miss Wong and we all nodded. "Good. Now spread out, and let's sleep." I stepped a bit farther away from where I was sitting and moved my sleeping bag there. Lizzie settled hers beside me, and Graser was on my right.

Stacy's POV
As I laid awake in bed, I couldn't tell if Graser was asleep. Lizzie was softly snoring, as I slowly squirmed our of my sleeping bag. I silently snuck through some bushes, and saw a beautiful, glimmering lake. "It's pretty, isn't it?" I turned around to see Graser, gazing at the lake. I nodded, and he stepped closer to me. "I'm sorry about the other day." I looked up to Graser, and saw his forgiving eyes. Graser leaned in to me, and kissed me gently on the cheek. I shivered, and Graser gave me his blue jacket. I wore it, and hugged him. "Thanks." I said, and walked back to the sleeping bags with him, cuddled together.
