Chapter 21: Pretending and Presents

Mirro's POV
"I've haven't hanged out with you in forever." Said Tiff as we walked down the park together. "Yeah, it's been forever." I replied. Nathan was silently walking on our left, not knowing what to say. "So Nathan, Mirro told me your a awesome Minecraft builder." Tiff turned to Nathan, and it seemed as if he snapped out of his thoughts. "I guess so.." he blushed. "Joel's making a server with Oli and Lizzie, maybe you could help build." Tiff and Nathan went into a long conversation, for I couldn't say anything. A few steps away from me, was him. It was Riddik.

-Flashback, three years ago-
Mirro's POV
"Hey Riddik." I walked up to him nervously. "Yeah Mirro?" He eyed me, looking as if I was covered in something disgusting. "Your eyes are really p-pretty and I um..I sorta..actually really like you.." I blushed, and looked down. There was a pause, and suddenly he bursted into laughter. "Mirro, the nerdiest nerd in the school. The quietest girl in the school. Likes me?" Riddik continued laughing, and I choked back tears. "I um..-" I didn't exactly know what to say, as tears began swelling down my cheeks. "Do you think I'm gonna actually gonna like you? Go kiss another nerdy boy, maybe that one over there." Riddik pointed to Dexter, the skinny nerdy guy that always ate chips. People were beginning to laugh and point at me, as I sank to the ground. "Hey everybody! Mirro likes me, the coolest guy in school." Riddik hollered, which created a bigger crowd. "LEAVE ME ALONE!" I screamed at Riddik, kicking him. He slammed against a locker, still laughing. "THIS ISN'T FUNNY." I screamed at the crowd, letting my tears flow down. I couldn't take it anymore. I rushed out of the school, away from everything. It was lunch at school, but I didn't care if I was missing it. I ran back to my house, and slammed my face into my pillow. Blinking back tears, my mom entered the room. "Mirro? Why are you here?" She asked. "Remember I told you about that good school I wanted to go to? I wanna transfer there." I didn't look up. I'm never going back there.,

-Back to present-
Mirro's POV
"Well if it isn't Mirro. The nerdiest-" Riddik stopped as he stared at me. "Cyan headphones, skull t-shirt, ripped jeans? How..cute.." he flashed a smile at me and I rolled my eyes. "Mirro? Who's this?" Nathan looked worried and shocked. "An old friend." I ignored Riddik and walked away. "Wait! Mirro! I was wondering if you and me.." Riddik gave me a flirty look, and I stepped away. "Leave me alone. I don't wanna hang out with you, the guy who doesn't have anything else better to do." I sneered and kept walking. "Besides, erm..Nathan's my boyfriend." I grabbed Nathan's hand as he yelped. "Really?" Riddik gave a jealous glance at Nathan. I nodded, and faced Nathan so that Riddik wouldn't see my face. Play along, I mouthed. Nathan understood and took a deep breath. "Yeah, sorry bud." Nathan squeezed my hand and I sighed quietly. "Oh. Well, talk to you later kay Mi?" Riddik looked desperate. "No thanks." I walked away until Leo disappeared. "What was that?!" Tiff's eyes widened. I sighed. "Long story short, I don't want anything to do with Riddik.." I suddenly realized me and Nathan were still holding hands. I let go, and I looked at Nathan. "Is it okay if we pretend for now?" I looked hopeful into Nathan's eyes. It seemed as if he was happy first, then maintained his face. "Alright, you've been such a great friend, I'll pay you back with this." Nathan winked at me and I smiled. "And as for you," I turned to Tiff. "You can tell the girls but not anybody else." I gave Tiff a stern look and she saluted. How did I get myself in this..

Stacy's POV
I slowly licked the ice cream from my spoon as I watched the fifth season of My Little Pony with Lizzie and Tiff. "Pinkie Pie perfectly describes me." Said Lizzie, flashing her hair as if it was a pony's mane. I wanted to smile and laugh but I was still bummed out about Graser. The door opened, creaking as I turned to see who it was. It was Bee, holding a long cardboard box and two shoe boxes that were stacked neatly on top. Lizzie and Tiff suddenly squealed, and I cocked my head in confusion. "Decorating Christmas Tree Time!" Bee squealed. I gave a weak smile and stood up.

"I'm adding my Disney ornaments!" Shouted Lizzie as she rushed into her room. This was helping me get my mind off of Graser. "I think we're almost done here." I stood back to admire the beautiful Christmas tree that we all decorated together. "Stacy? Would you do the honours?" Bee handed me a Star. "Gladly." I grinned and stood on a tall chair. I carefully put the star on top, and I jumped down with satisfaction. "YAS! It's so kawaii!" Squealed Lizzie and Tiff nodded in agreement."I even already have a present!" Bee exclaimed, placing a golden present under the tree. For Stacy it read. I slowly broke into a grin, and Bee looked very happy. Lizzie grabbed the present and began shaking it. "What's inside?" She asked curiously. Lizzie put the present down, and I spoke up. "Hey, how about we all go to Target and we all shop for Christmas presents?" I asked. We all agreed and soon we were in Bee's car, driving away.

Tiff and Lizzie ran off into the distance as me and Bee spilt up. I was looking at the Disney section, and saw a Belle figurine. I frowned, I wasn't exactly sure if that would be enough for Lizzie. I then saw a sweater that had a Stitch on it, and the words "Ohana Means Family". I plopped both of those items in my cart with a satisfied smile. I wasn't sure what I should get Tiff, so I strolled around the aisles. I suddenly spotted a medium purple cat plush and a glittery purple nail polish. I knew Tiff desperately needed nail polish, so I put them in the cart as well. I walked over to the gaming section, and noticed a pair of headphones. Their were pink, blue, purple, and white. I grinned as I placed all of those headphones in the cart. Now one more for Bee. I needed this to be extra special, but I couldn't think of anything. I then spotted a beautiful golden dress, and I could imagine Bee in it. I bursted into a squeal as I smashed it into the cart. I rushed over to pay for all the items, so that they couldn't see what I was buying.

After a successful amount of shopping for all of us, we finished wrapping all our presents and placed them under the tree. "Cute!" Smiled Tiff. "I have some presents for the boys too." Lizzie said, placed them in a corner. "Me too." Bee and Tiff said. I completely felt guilty that I hadn't gotten presents for the boys. "It's alright Stace." Bee always knew what I was thinking. "Tomorrow's the Winter Dance!" Lizzie broke into a smile. I put on a fake smile as I realized I wasn't going with anybody.
