Chapter 24: Club Day

Lizzie's POV
I clutched my backpack tighter as I entered the school. I was enjoying days without school, and last night it came to a realization that I would be going back. Lots of students with papers were trying to give them to other students. I stared, puzzled. "Hey Lizz! You came early for once!" Grinned Yammy, as I ran over to her. I shrugged, and gave her a puzzled look. "What's with all the papers and stuff?" I asked, raising my eyebrow. Yammy giggled. "You mean you don't know? Today's club day! You can sign up at the booths and get the info paper! I signed up for anime club." Smiled Yammy, giving me a paper. "Who knows, maybe you'll join. Cya later,  gotta charm people with my looks." Winked Yammy, rushing away. I wasn't sure which club would be perfect for me, so I strolled down the hall filled with booths. Cooking club had some samples, which I gladly took. As I munched on my cookie, I noticed Joel staring at a club's booth. "Hey Joel!" I greeted him, looking at what he was staring at. It read Student Council. "You wanna join it?" I asked, crumbs falling out of my mouth from the delicious cookie. Joel nodded seriously, but giggled at the sight of me. "Cool!" I snatched the sign up sheet for him and stuffed it in his face. I handed Joel the pen as well. He looked hesitant. "Can you join with me? I just don't wanna be alone.." Joel faded off and the end, and I could see the desperate look in his eyes. I snatched the pen from him and wrote my name messily on the paper. "Done."

Stacy's POV
As I wandered around the booths, I stared at one particularly. Chess Club. It was sort of geeky and nerdy, but I didn't mind. I noticed that Bee, Wendy, and Nathan had also signed up for the club. Putting down the sign up sheet, I noticed Riddik, Mirro's enemy, was hanging out with Callum and Scott. I stared in disgust. "Come and audition for our school's musical this Friday!" A student gave me a paper and rushed off. I looked at it in curiosity.

I blinked twice and imagined me on a big open stage, singing. I wasn't exactly obsessed with singing, but I do rather like it. Running to my locker, I stuffed the paper in my binder, and reached for my binder and my math textbook.

Mirro's POV
As I entered Math class early with Shelby and Nathan, I noticed a sheet of paper on Nathan's usual desk. It read Nerd. I grabbed Nathan's hand and squeezed it as Callum, Scott, and Riddik entered. Of course he would hang out with them. The bell rang, and I noticed Stacy looking behind her and giving me a, Oh No look. I crumbled the paper up and threw it at Riddik's head with force. Strangely, he replied with an ouch, and it yet it was paper. I giggled as Mr. Millers walked into the classroom, looking grumpy as usual. "Good morning class. We have a new student, Riddik Morrow. Make him feel welcomed." Mr. Millers put on a fake smile and began a boring integers review. Sadly, my seat was one seat away from Riddik. I groaned quietly, and received a note from Riddik. It said Mind passing this note to Nathan? I wanna tell him what a nerd he is. Riddik grinned as I read it. I furiously wrote on the back of the paper. Leave him alone Riddik. Speaking of being alone, you really need a girlfriend. Oh wait. You'll never get one. I replied back. Riddik didn't talk to me for the rest of the class. And I felt strangely satisfied.

Stacy's POV
The bell rang as I swung my backpack over my shoulder. Today after school was Chess Club in Room 201. I waved goodbye to Lizzie and Tiff and entered a classroom. Bee and Nathan were in a intense match, while Wendy was nervously watching. "Hey guys!" I said, dropping my backpack to the ground. Bee held up a k gimme one sec finger, and she made a ridiculous concentration face. I giggled with Wendy and then noticed Riddik entering. I gulped. He was setting a pretty bad example for himself, hanging with Callum and Scott, and being stupid towards Mirro. He strolled over to us, with a smile on his face. I glared at Riddik. I completely ignored him and continued watching Bee and Nathan. Nathan moved his queen in a spot and grinned. "Check mate." Nathan stood up, and so did Bee. Except Bee groaned and smacked the chess board. "Rematch!" She hollered, and suddenly noticed Riddik. "Wanna play Nate?" Riddik approached Nathan, and I gulped. "I'm pretty sure he doesn't wanna play a guy like you." I glared, eyeing Nathan. "N-no..It's okay." Nathan started resetting the chess board, and me, Wendy, and Bee were in utter shock. "I don't like people watching me during my chess matches. Care to leave?" Riddik shot a mean glance towards us, and me and the girls bitterly walked over to the corner, silently observing.

Nathan's POV
"Ready to play?" I asked, putting on a fake smile. "Nathan, you know I'm not gonna play you." Riddik's expression changed, and I gulped nervously. "I wanted to talk to you about Mirro." Riddik took a pawn, and moved it across the board. I was trying to hold in my giggling, he wasn't playing correctly. "Lay off Mirro. She's mine." Riddik growled. "Technically, it's wasting your time telling me to do that...Since you already know I'm dating her." I avoided contact to him, and moved my bishop to where my next move could kill Riddik's rook. "Y'know I could tell Callum and Scott never to bother your loser group again. If you break up with Mirro." He smirked. "No! Can't you tell Mirro dislikes you?! How desperate are you?" I was beginning to shout. Riddik blinked, and sighed. "Nathan, I wish I didn't have to do this." Riddik stood up from the table, and stuffed his hands in his pocket. Riddik punched me, and everything went black.
