Chapter 2

-The Flight-

Nash's POV:

"It's nice to meet you, Nichole." I said. Her sparkling green eyes looking straight into mine.

"So why are you going to North Carolina, in the middle of April?" She asked me, tilting her head slightly to the side.

"My family lives in Mooresville." I stated and paused before asking, "What about you?"

"I'm going to see my family too, but I don't live in Moorseville. I live in Manhattan, it's a town south from LA." She said with a small smile, causing her faint dimples to appear.

"Do you play any sports?" I responded curiously.

"Yup, I play beach volleyball and I snowboard."

"Me too." I responded quickly. She smiled and asked, "you play beach volleyball?"

"Oh haha kinda, but I have been boarding for about three years now, so I'm not too good at the jumps quite yet. How long have you been snowboarding?" I asked.

"Well I have been since I was four." She said and paused before replying, "so twelve years."

"Damn, you must be really good then." I said playfully.

"Haha, yeah I guess you could say that."

...

We talked for like an hour, about sports, ice cream, movies, the list was endless. Nichole was so easy to talk to, we both snowboard, and snowboarding girls are always a plus. She's absolutely gorgeous. Her eyes are so beautiful, green in the center and light blue on the outside of her iris. Her freckles lightly kissed the bridge of her nose and spilled over to her cheeks. Her golden waves draped over her shoulders, and her smile.... I just couldn't stop thinking about her, I couldn't get her out of my head.

Nichole's POV:

He was so polite, he apologized for talking too long and let me watch my movie. Mid-way through the movie, my eyes got heavy, so I decided to take a nap. I lifted my feet off the floor and rested them on the middle seat. I grabbed the small red complementary pillow and placed it on the left arm rest so my head could have some cushion, and quickly dozed off.

After I woke up, I slowly pulled my feet off the middle seat, so I could sit up properly. I checked the map, to see how much more time until we land; around 15 minutes. My nap was very refreshing, I rarely ever sleep on planes, I guess I must have been more tired than I thought. I looked over at Nash, he was asleep. He had a black donut pillow tightly wrapped around his neck, but his head still rested on the closed window.

...

The pilot announced that we are going to begin descending soon, so I cleaned up my things and placed them back into my backpack.

Nash's POV:

Once the plane had landed, I lifted my heavy backpack off the floor and grabbed my phone out of the front pocket. I quickly turned it on to text my mom to come pick me up, then Cam.

Nash: hey I just landed, can I ask you something?

Cameron: sure

Nash: is it wrong to ask another girl for her number, even though I have a girlfriend?

Cameron: are you interested in being her friend, or do you actually like her?
