Chapter Nine
-Outside Patio-
Brody's POV:
"It's just that." She paused and was about to continue but I interrupted her, "You like Nash, don't you?"
"I'm not sure. It's just that, it's confusing because he's in a relationship and all. He was so sweet and charming. I thought he was into me, but I guess not because he has someone else." She stated loosely twisting her metal stick between her two fingers.
Should I tell her that Nash likes her? It would probably mess with her head, right?
"I know that it can be confusing right now, but I'm sure something will work out eventually." I responded with a reassuring smile.
"I highly doubt that." She replied looking down at her golden marshmallow and questioned me, "What is she like?"
"Who?" I asked, just to annoy her even more.
"Brooke." She answered with a displeased glare.
"Oh, um. She has long dark brown hair and really big boobs." I responded with a growing smirk.
"Haha, no I mean her personality." She said attempting to reconstruct her pervious question.
"Oh, she's nice, I guess." Not really, she's a total bitch. I don't even understand why Nash asked out Brooke in the first place, they are complete opposites. Nash is caring, responsible and trustworthy, which Brooke has barely any of those qualities, she is practically the adverse. The first time that they meet was at one of Bryce's huge house parties. The only reason why I was there was because Nash didn't want to go alone and he said it would make us cool. And since we were freshmen at the time I gave it a shot because I had nothing to lose. They hooked up at the party and Nash wouldn't shut up about her the next day at school. He always shoots for the girls that are completely out of his league. But Brooke was different, she actually said yes when Nash asked her to homecoming. I was just as surprised as the next guy. What hot sophomore wants to go out with a lame freshmen, when she can have any guy in the whole school? I think she might have felt sorry for him.
Nichole's POV:
"Hey Darcy, can you please pass me a graham cracker?" I asked politely as possible. I couldn't get the image of Nash with another girl out of my head. I was angry, upset and appeased all at the same time it was just so confusing. I don't even know how I feel about him!
"Sure." Darcy replied with a small half smile, handing me the blue and yellow card board box.
I pulled out two crackers and looked down at the small wooden table in search of the chocolate bars, but only found abandoned torn up wrappers. I looked over at Brody to find two more deflated chocolate bar wrappers resting on his lap.
"Brody! What the hell, you ate all of the chocolate!!" I said slapping him lightly on the side of his covered thigh.
"Hahah I'm sorry I have a serious sweet tooth." He replied with an enlarging grin. Why does he always have to do that cute thing with his mouth?
"That was four whole chocolate bars!" I responded with an increasing plaintive voice.
"Opps." He answered with shrugged shoulders.
"How do you even have abs?" I asked curiously.
"I seriously have no clue."
I placed the warm skewer between my bare knees and smushed the golden marshmallow between the two honey graham crackers, as I slowly slid it off of the skewer. I took a big bite from one of the corners, as the gushy marshmallow fluff oozed out.
