Evan arrived at the entrance of the orchard accompanied by Heidi, Lily and Paul.
It had been a year and a half since Connor had proposed to Evan at Jeremy and Michael's wedding, and here they were.
At their own wedding.
Evan wondered if there would be any more proposals.
Heidi was carrying Lily. "Are you nervous, honey?" She asked.
Evan shook his head. "No," he replied. He could feel his face growing warm. Heidi gave him a look.
"Okay, I am. But only a little," he admitted.
"It's okay to be nervous." Heidi smiled.
"I don't know why I am, though. I love Connor and have for years. I know I won't regret anything."
"Ev, honey, I was really nervous when I was marrying Paul," she said. "Jeremy was nervous on his wedding day, and so was Michael, and I'm sure if you ask Zoe and Alana, they'll tell you they were nervous, too."
Evan smiled. "Thanks, mom."
"Not to ruin the moment or anything," Paul said. "But I have to get to my seat now." He gave Evan a hug. "I'll see you soon." He walked through the gates of the orchard and soon disappeared down the path.
"Daddy gone?" Lily asked sadly.
Heidi looked at her. "He's gone to his seat. You'll see him soon."
Lily smiled. "Yay!" She clapped her hands.
Evan giggled.
Lily stretched her arms towards Evan. "Go to Evvy," she said.
Heidi laughed and passed her to Evan.
"Yay!" She said again. The two-year-old looked at Evan. "Where Jemmy?" She struggled to say 'Jeremy'.
"He'll be here soon," Evan told her.
"Mikey?"
"He's at his seat."
"See Connie," she told him.
"You want to see Connie?"
"Yep," she said, popping the 'p'.
"You'll see him soon."
Lily giggled.
"Honey, I'm just going to the car to get the flower basket," Heidi told Evan. "I'll be back soon." Evan nodded.
"Mommy!" Lily yelled.
"She'll be back soon," Evan said.
"Everyone gone," Lily told Evan sadly.
"You'll seen them soon!"
She smiled.
About a minute later, Heidi returned from the car with the flower basket that Lily would carry down the aisle.
"Flowers!" Lily exclaimed, excited. She loved flowers.
She reached into the basket and pulled out blue petals. They were from forget me nots.
"Pretty!" She said, throwing them above her so some landed in her hair.
"I bootiful?" She asked, looking at Evan
He kissed her cheek. "You're very beautiful."
She giggled and took a petal off her head, putting it on Evan's. "You bootiful."
Evan giggled.
Lily took another petal out of her hair and put it on Heidi's head. "Mommy bootiful."
"Thanks, Lily," she laughed. "Okay, honey, when Jeremy and Jared get here, it's time to start walking."
Evan nodded. "I know."
"Jemmy and Jarry!" Lily clapped her hands.
Heidi and Evan laughed.
A few minutes later, Jeremy and Jared arrived. "We're here!" Jeremy exclaimed.
"Jemmy!" Lily smiled, stretching her arms towards Jeremy for a hug. Jeremy smiled and hugged her.
"Hi, Plant Child," Jared said.
"Jarry!" Lily hugged Jared.
"It's time to start the now," Heidi said. "Lily, you have to walk."
"Aww," Lily whined. Evan put her down and held her hand as they walked through the orchard. "Look!" Lily exclaimed. "Trees!"
"Yeah," Evan laughed. "There are a lot of trees."
They walked down the path for a while and stopped when they got close to the wedding.
"Okay, Jared, go," Heidi said.
Jared clutched his bouquet and started walking. Music began to play. Jeremy handed Evan his bouquet with a smile. He then started walking when Jared reached the end of the makeshift aisle.
Heidi gave Lily the small flower basket and picked the petals out of her hair. "Okay, Lily, start walking. Throw the flowers."
Lily slowly started walking, stopping everytime she reached into the basket. When she reached the end of the aisle, she tipped all the contents of the basket on the floor.
"Connie!" She giggled when she saw Connor, running up to him to hug him.
"Hey, Tree Girl," he laughed. He was nearly crying. Lily smiled then walked to the front row and sat in the seat next to Paul.
Heidi linked her arm with Evan's. "Ready, honey?"
Evan nodded, a few tears streaming down his cheeks.
The two slowly began to walk. Evan softly giggled when he saw Connor. The whole thing felt surreal.
Heidi kissed his cheek before walking to her seat next to Lily. Evan walked up to Connor. "Hi, Connie," he giggled.
"Hey, Tree Boy," he whispered. He grabbed Evan's hands, holding them. Behind Connor stood Zoe and Alana.
Cynthia would be officiating the ceremony. Alana had volunteered, but she was part of Connor's party.
The ceremony began. There were a lot of tears.
About twenty minutes later, Evan and Connor had exchanged vows and rings. "You may now kiss the groom!" Cynthia announced.
Connor smiled and pulled Evan into a kiss. It tasted salty because of the tears but they didn't care.
After a few years, they were finally married.
The two were happy. That day, there were no problems, no sadness, nothing went wrong.
Everything was perfect.
