I was curled up in my bed reading a book I found in the bookcase my foster mom keeps in the kitchen. It was pretty good if you block out the part about the vampire lords trying to hunt down this group of werewolf boys. I usually hate vampire books but sometimes it's nice to read fiction instead of just fantasy. I was only a few pages in when there was a tap on my window.
I glanced at my alarm clock, 12:34, sighed and crawled to the window at the end of my bed. I looked down at Scott and Stiles who were standing on my front lawn
"What!?" I hissed down at them, trying to stay quiet so I didn't wake anyone. Scott pulled out his phone and started typing. My phone went off a few seconds later and I pulled up his message.
Scott: we'll tell you the details on our way just get down here quick!
I took a deep breath and decided I may as well go with them. I nodded down to them and closed my window.
Minutes later I walked out the front door with a pair of jeans and a sweater on. Scott and Stiles were already in the car, I crawled into the back and we were off.
"So what was so important that you had to wake me up at this hour?" I questioned. Scott turned towards me and raised an eyebrow. "Okay you saved me from a horrific book, whatever. Just tell me what's up."
"My dad got a call, two joggers found half a body in the woods. Huge search party." Stiles said nearly jumping our of his seat.
"You pulled me out of the house so we could go searching for half of a body that your dad the Sheriff is already out in the woods looking for?"
"Yes." Scott said skeptically.
"Alright. That's good enough for me." I leaned on the backseat and watched the moon as Stiles drove to the right spot in the woods.

"Are we seriously doing this?" Scott asked getting out of the car.
"You're the one always bitching that nothing happens in this town." Stiles turned on his flashlight and ran ahead a few steps into the woods.
I patted Scott on the back. "Maybe it'll be fun." I put my hands in my pockets and followed Stiles.
"I was trying to get a good night sleep before practice tomorrow" Scott called ahead.
"Right, because sitting on the bench is such a grueling effort" Stiles called back.
"No. Because I'm playing this year. In fact, I'm making first line." Scott said confidently.
"Hey! That's the spirit, everyone should have a dream, even a pathetically unrealistic one." I let out a small giggle.
Scott gave up trying to convince him. We continued to climb through the woods between trees as Scott brought up a good point.
"Just out of curiosity, which half of the body are we looking for?" Stiles stopped for a minute.
"Huh. I didn't even think about that." He said with a small laugh.
Scott smiled. "And uh.. what if whoever killed the body is still out here?"
"Also something I didn't think about." I rolled my eyes and Scott and I gave each other a look.
"Good to know you've planned this out with your usual attention to detail." I added. Scott and I followed Stiles up a small hill.
"I know." Stiles said with a sound of pleasure in his voice.
"Maybe the severe asthmatic should be the one holding the flashlight." Scott leaned against a tree trying to catch his breath. He pulled out his inhaler and shook it as he kept walking. Stiles ran to the top of the hill and dove to the ground, turning off his flashlight, Scott followed. I bent down a little further down the hill so I wouldn't get all of my clothes dirty, I didn't need to give my foster mom anything more to suspect me of. We saw the police searching the woods in the distance.
