I woke up the next morning to find that I was alone. I looked around, remembering last night. Great, now I get to explain to Scott and Stiles that I knew Derek wasn't the bad guy all along but I just didn't feel like letting them know. This'll be a great day.
"Derek?" I called. I got out of bed and pulled on my jeans from yesterday. "Derek?" I called again walking down the stairs. "Great, he's gone." I sighed. "Looks like I'm walking to school." I got my bag from the front door and started walking through the forest.

Scott and Stiles hadn't brought up my friendship with Derek yet, but I'm sure they just hadn't figured out the best way to do it yet. We were sat in class near the back, Stiles behind Scott in one row and I was beside Scott in the row to their left.
"If Derek isn't the alpha, and he isn't the one who bit you, then who did?" Stiles asked leaning over his desk. Scott glanced at me for a minute as if expecting me to add in the conversation. I rolled my eyes and looked down at my desk. Maybe he hadn't told Stiles yet...
"I don't know." Scott shrugged. Stiles leaned back in his chair with disappointment.
"Do you know who killed the bus driver?" Stiles leaned in again.
"I don't know." Scott replied, his tone calm and steady.
Stiles leaned back again and huffed, thinking. "Does Allison's dad know about-" Stiles started to lean in again.
"I DON'T KNOW." Scott snapped turning around. Everyone in the class looked back at Scott and he awkwardly turned back around.
The teacher got to their row and was handing our graded tests. Stiles showed me his A, and I leaned over to read Scott's. 'D- Not like you see me after class'. I thought about saying something but hesitated, not sure if we were on speaking terms.
"Dude you need to study more." Stiles said leaning over Scott's shoulder. Scott threw his test on the desk angrily. "That was a joke. Scott, it's one test. You're gonna make it up." Stiles reassured him. "Do you want help studying?"
"No. I'm studying with Allison after school today." Scott replied.
"That's my boy." Stiles said proudly.
"We're just studying." Scott said over his shoulder.
"No, you're not." I said with a giggle. It's cute how innocent Scott is.
"No I'm not?" Scott asked.
"Not if I'm forced to live vicariously through you. If you go to her house today and squander that colossal opportunity, I-I swear to god, I'll have you de-balled." Stiles said, creating a vivid picture.
"Okay. Just... stop with the questions man." Scott turned around.
"Okay. Done. No more talk about the alpha, or.... Derek.....especially Derek.... who still scares me."
"Is that what turns you on? Scotty boy getting lucky?" I asked.
"No. I- I just meant like....." Stiles tried to explain, but there was no way he could talk himself out of that one.

I was finished school after my third period but I told Stiles I'd wait so we could do something after school. As I walked down the hall to my locker I could sense something different. Ever since I let my eyes glow last night my senses started becoming more prominent. I had pushed that part of me so far inside I forgot what it was like. I took me a minute to realize it was a scent I was picking up. Derek's.
I walked around the halls looking in every direction when I saw Jackson by his locker looking bothered.
"What's wrong with you?" I asked as I approached him.
