I walked onto the bleachers and took a seat in the middle row. The boys were all running onto the field from the locker rooms and for some reason I was enjoying going to practices this year. I never really cared about sports that much but now that I've been staying to watch, it's actually pretty interesting. All the guys running around a field with sticks and a ball, it's not as hard to follow as I thought it would be.
Stiles was on the field with the rest of the team so I was alone in the stands. They were running some sort of drill where you had to get by Jackson with the ball. Scott was up next and he barely got three steps in before Jackson knocked them to the ground. I winced all the way in the stands and Stiles and I both watched to make sure Scott was alright.
"McCall. McCall! My grandmother can move faster than that. And she's dead. Do you think you can move faster than the lifeless corpse of my DEAD grandmother?" Coach asked him. Scott nodded and said yes. I saw his eyes start to glow from across the field.
I started waving my arms just a little trying to catch Stiles's attention but he didn't notice. I was getting some weird looks from other people in the stands. I sighed and got up. How much trouble would I get in if I ran on the field?
"McCall's gonna do it again!" Coach called out.
Shit shit shit. "Stiles." I said calmly hoping he would hear me. I saw Scott look over to me but Stiles didn't have the super hearing that Scott did. "Scott. Stop it. You're gonna do something bad." I whispered. Scott shook his head at me and ran to the front of the line.
Scott ran towards Jackson a second time but this time Scott knocked Jackson to the ground and it was a perfect distraction for me to run over to Stiles.
"We have to get him out of here." I whispered to Stiles. We both looked over and saw Scott fall to his knees with his head in his hands. As everyone ran over to Jackson, I grabbed Stiles's hand and pulled him over to Scott.
"Scott!" Stiles bent over next to him.
"I can't control it Stiles, it's happening!" Scott said, his voice deeper than usual.
"What!? Right here!? Now!?!" Stiles panicked.
"Guys, c'mon." I said. Stiles and I pulled Scott up off the ground. As we ran off the field I wasn't very surprised to see Derek standing just off to the side of the stands dressed in black and grey, his face solid like a rock.
We got Scott to the locker room and I followed them in.
"What are you doing?" Stiles asked.
"Is a girl in the locker room really the biggest issue at hand!?" I exclaimed.
Scott was on the ground breathing heavily. Stiles bent down next to him but before he could say anything Scott let out a loud roar of warning. "GET AWAY FROM ME!".
Stiles fell to the ground and started backing up. He got up for a second, hiding behind a locker but fell right back down again when Scott jumped on top of the row of lockers he was behind.
"Scott calm down. Breathe and it'll go away. Just take your time and slow down." I called but he wasn't listening. He was too busy jumping around from locker to locker chasing Stiles around the room. The look in Stiles's eyes was pure fright. I looked around for another way to calm Scott. I noticed a fire extinguisher on the wall.
"Stiles!" I yelled. He turned towards me from down a row. "Catch." I threw it to him and he caught it just as Scott was in spraying range. He pulled the lever and the white smoke stuff sprayed all over Scott. He fell to the ground and Stiles ran over to where I was standing in the doorway. Stiles caught his breath and looked over at Scott who was sitting on a bench pulling off his helmet.
