"Brad what're you doing." Tris asked, poking me in the ribs as I looked up from my phone "You're meant to be Singing, considering this is prac-Ooh this is a naughty conversation isn't it?!" The tall blond teased, catching a glance at my phone and the...questionable conversation I was having with some random guy I'd be meeting after practise.
I blushed and shook my head, tucking my phone back in my pocket. "Doesn't matter."
"Who is she then?" James teased "Tris did you see her name?"
"Nah, I didn't, I just saw Brad saying something about his cock, her saying something back about it, usual dirty shit." Tris teased "Awh Braddy is gonna get his dick wet."
"Please fuck off." I rolled my eyes, poking him in the ribs, just as he had to me previously "Go back to playing the drums."
"We've been playing for like three hours, we can have a break. We're waiting for pizza." Tris rolled his eyes, sitting on the couch we had moved into his parents garage.
"Yeah." Con agreed "Lets have a break, my fingers are killing me. Look at these blisters!" He exclaimed, shoving his fingers up to tris' eyes to show him the blisters that had formed over the tips.
"You wanna talk about blisters." Tris rolled his eyes, slowing peeling the ductape he had covered his hand in off, before showing the young bassist the welts that at formed from the hours of friction. "These are so gonna callous over."
"Am I the only one who's not pathetic?" James rolled his eyes "Or do you two just have shit technique."
"Alright Mr 'I'm better than everyone but all my guitar solos are off key'" Con rolled his eyes, a light hearted joking tone laced through his words.
"Hey guys..." I began, cutting myself off due to nerves, each pair of blue eyes staring at me questioningly as I sat on the floor.
I'm gay.
"...Are you loving the new song as much as I am?" I bailed, the uncertainty holding my back, the words lingering on my lips and leaving a sour taste. Mentally I kicked myself, I screamed at myself, I scratched and bit at my subconscious. Every animal instinct yelling at me, urging me to tell them. Outwardly I put on a convincing smile, basked in the lie, made out that it wasn't fallacy at all.
"Oh yeah, definitely." Con nodded "My favourite song we've written, ever."
"Yeah. It's pretty cool." James nodded, tris staying silent but violently nodding his head. About ten minutes later, Tris' mum knocked on the door, bringing two dominos boxes in, filling the room with the familiar and appetising scent of melted cheese and tomato.
"Don't worry about the bill this week boys, I got it." She smiled to all of us. Passing it to her son over the back of the couch. All of us repeating some variation of thanks as the pizza was placed on the floor infront of me, everyone else sliding off of the couch onto the floor to reach it better.
"You alright Brad? You look troubled." James asked, giving me a soft face with genuine concern in his eyes.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine." I nodded, being interrupted by Tris moaning about how Connor always steals the dip before anyone else can get it.
"You snooze, you lose, my freakishly tall and lanky friend." The smaller laughed, taking a bite and ending up spilling cheese and sauce all over his white top.
"And that's karma." Tris laughed a little, everyone but the small Scot smiling.
"Fuck off, cunt." Con teased "Good job I'm here for the weekend and bought like 80 t-shirts with me really isn't it?"
"True, or you could just come and steal one of mine, I'm only an hour away." James shrugged "Or steal one of Tris' and wear it as a dress."
"That isn't a bad idea." He nodded with a laugh.
"I think tris' sister's clothes would fit Con better than Tris', if I'm honest." I teased, watching the blue eyed boy's face change to a look of horror at the thought of wearing Tristan's sisters clothes.
"Fuck off, I might be short enough to be one but funnily enough I'm not a girl. Not even a really really butch lesbian." Con rolled his eyes, eating more pizza.
"Didn't you date a lesbian once though?" Tris questioned. All of us turning to the blond in confusion, wondering if he actually knew what a lesbian was "What?! I'm sure you said something about it last night!"
"She left me for a girl, yeah, but she wasn't out as a lesbian to anyone, used me to try and cover it up." Con laughed a little, his cheeks turning pink "To be fair, I thought she might be gay when she like point blank refused to go anywhere near my dick, or let me see her tits."
"Or maybe it's the fact that you were two years younger than her." James raised an eyebrow "You know, she felt weird about it."
"Nope, she's definitely a lesbian now. I'll find her on Facebook if you don't believe me. Why are all the hot ones gay? That's what I wanna know." Con shook his head, getting his phone out.
Actually all the hot guys are straight.
Like tris.
Woah do I think Tris is hot?
Shit, I do.
"Alright guys, I'm gonna head out." I nodded, James raising an eyebrow at me.
"To meet that girl?" He questioned "Or out out. Like clubbing, because if so, why not with us."
"Both." I winked, pulling on my jacket over my grey hoodie "Going and getting pissed with this girl and then going back to hers, obviously." I smiled, feeling awful that I was lying, I wasn't going to get pissed, I was going to meet Jamie then go straight back to his, but obviously the boys didn't have to know that, I knew that James would have a problem with this anyway, I knew that he'd have something to say about the fact I'm going to get pissed when we have a record label meeting in the afternoon and we're being picked up early in the morning, I knew he'd have a problem that I was proud of myself for scoring this "girl."
"Uh, can you not skip the getting pissed?" He asked "And bring her back here or to mine? Like, you're the worst out of all of us for hangovers and you're also the worst for getting lost."
"Hmm let me think about that. No." I replied with a smile, tapping my chin before standing up and leaving the garage in pursuit of the dark haired boy I was going to meet.
