"How was she then?" My blond best friend smirked a little, nudging me with his elbow "Tell me all about it."
I blushed and looked out of the window shaking my head.
"Well..." I began
He was amazing
"Yeah." My friend nodded, we were sat in the very back of the van, Joe was driving, we were on our way to London to go to the record label meeting.
"She was hot," I nodded, telling the truth, just replacing the pronouns "Really girly" feminine "Nice ass. No tits but I didn't really mind."
"Score." Tris grinned "and how was the sex." He raised an eyebrow.
"Tris can you stop being pervy?" James turned around in his seat to look at us two, we were pretty much cuddling at this point, tris' arm around my shoulder, it was normal for us, we were so close, inseparable, nobody expected anything less.
I want more.
"Just asking Braddy Bear how his night was." He teased, saying it in a weird voice, poking me in the ribs, his favourite place to poke me in the world as it made me squirm uncomfortably, and being my best friend he gained mild amusement from any discomfort caused by himself.
"Yeah and it's gross and weird." Joe piped up "I don't want to be hearing about Brads sex life, thanks."
"Unless it's with you." Con added to Tris, raising an eyebrow. Con was the one who basically started the whole 'Tradley' thing, and he's probably a more dedicated shipper than most of our fans.
"I wish." Tris rolled his eyes dramatically, removing his arm from my shoulders "But we all know Brad has much higher standards than me."
"I dunno." James shrugged "Look at his ex, then look at yours, all I'm saying is, Brad doesn't necessarily go for looks now, does he."
"Ouch." I frowned with a wince "Bit harsh, she was nice enough."
"And so was Con's 'lesbian girlfriend' doesn't mean shit mate." James laughed shaking his head.
"Woah woah woah, do not turn this on to me!" Con widened his eyes, holding his hands up "Brads the one we all pick on, not me."
"Whatever." I rolled my eyes, turning away from the boys as I put one d my earphones in "I'm ignoring all of you."
"Don't ignore meeeee." Tris teased, poking me up and down my arm seeing as he couldn't reach my ribs because of how I turned "I'm going to annoy you until you talk to me."
"Tris, fuck off." I sighed, pushing his hand away "I'm going to go to sleep."
"You know what happens to the first one to fall asleep in the van." James smirked a little "I have a sharpie on me."
"Fuck off James." I shook my head, closing my eyes "If you dare touch me I'll knock you out."
"Id like to see you try." Joe scoffed from the front "Brad you're the weakest one here! Even Tris is stronger than you and he's twice as thin."
"Well you haven't see me in bed then," I grumbled sleepily, my head resting against the pillow I'd put between myself and the window to make it more comfortable.
"I feel sorry for that poor girl last night." James shook his head "She was probably stronger than you!"
"Ha ha ha- fuck off McVey." I mumbled, from then on, plugging my earphones in and falling asleep, being woken up about an hour and a half layer by a sharp jolt and the sound of tires skidding against tarmac, us in the middle of the motorway, sideways, a silver car bent over the middle divide, dented and scratched, smoking from the engine.
"What the fuck?!" I asked worriedly, suddenly very awake, everyone in the van fine and unscathed.
"Is everyone alright?" Joe asked, turning back to us, everyone repeating some form of yes. "This is why I nag you all about seat belts, this shit happens."
"What happened?" I asked "why are we in the middle of the road?! Is that guy okay? What happened?"
"He swerved into us!" Tris said dramatically, "Joe only just managed to get away, if he hadn't that'd be us wrapped around that railing! Scary shit."
"Fucking hell." I shook my head, taking out my phone and checking the time, seeing a couple messages from friends and family wishing us all good luck for the meeting later.
"I don't know what to do." Joe shook his head "Do we wait here? Turn around and drive off? Wait for the police? Move the van? What do we do?"
"I'd say move it." Con shrugged
"Don't listen to him, Connor you can't even turn the ignition on a car properly, why would we listen to you?" James rolled his eyes.
"Sorry." Con replied sarcastically "Do you have any better suggestions, I'm sure we'd all be thrilled to hear them."
"Woah woah woah." Tris interrupted "Now is not the time for you two to have a sexual frustration fuelled argument, alright? We're currently the cause of the biggest traffic jam to ever happen, we should definitely move."
"I'm going back to sleep." I grumbled, settling back down into my pillow, tiredness getting the better of me and putting me in a shit mood, fuelled by words I needed to say, words that weighed me down and felt like rocks on my chest, pressing me down into the floor, smaller than an ant. I was nothing but a failure, I couldn't even tell anyone who I loved, I couldn't tell anyone because I didn't accept it, I didn't want to. I don't want to be the stereotype of 'the gay one' in the band. I wanted to be so much more.
"Why are you so moody?" Tris frowned "You alright mate? Like mentally and shit, last time you were like this you had a mental break down in your room. I don't want that shit again, talk."
"Nah I'm good, didn't sleep well last night that's all." I pushed him away, I didn't want him to know, not yet. I couldn't reduce myself to my fate yet, I needed to accept it before I could allow anyone else to.
"As long as you're sure." Tris asked and I nodded, shrugging him off again, I didn't want to let him in and he didn't push me.
