HYUNRA POV

I was wrong, my fever didn't go away soon. It stayed with me the next day too, my temperature didn't go down. Instead, it went higher, my high fever seemed like it wasn't going to leave me alone anytime soon.

But I went for all my events and activities anyways, I hid my fever and acted like I was fine so that Eunri wouldn't worry.

I didn't want my events to be cancelled just because of me, I didn't want my fans to be disappointed.

Eunri was a little suspicious that I had recovered so quickly but she didn't have any doubts after seeing my brilliant acting.

I toughed my way through the day and sometimes I struggled to stay awake, I kept feeling like I was going to faint.

My muscle kept aching and it was almost unbearable, I felt like screaming out in pain and frustrated but I kept it inside me.

My hands felt cold and they were shivering throughout the day, I hoped my fans didn't notice it as they grabbed my hands.

I tried my best to keep my spirits up and to stop my illness from showing. Eunri would kick up such a big fuss and lecture me on and on, she wouldn't spare me even if I felt like I was on the verge of death.

Really, that's what a fever feels like when you are doing vigorous activities throughout the entire day, the verge of death.

But I finally ended all my events and I could finally return home. It was almost 5 in the evening and Eunri had something to take care of so I went home without her.

The car stopped in front of my house like usual and I got off without passing out.

I took heavy and uneven steps up the hilly path. I felt extremely dizzy and light-headed, more than I should.

The lights dimmed for some reason, are the streetlights not working again?

The lights dimmed even more and my vision felt blurring, I'm not crying though. My chest burned with every little tiny step I took forward.

Then, all noise and sounds felt distant and unclear, nausea crept from my abdomen to my head and the world went black as I took one step backwards crumpled to the hard ground like a puppet suddenly released of their strings.

-

I blinked as the piercing light blinded my eyes, making my vision unclear.

I was in an unfamiliar environment and my head and chest felt hot and they both throbbed with sharp pain with every breath I took.

I was lying down on a bed with covers on me and there was someone on a chair beside me.

This setting seems familiar...

I sat up and patted my face to wake myself up but I was still in discomfort and aching all over body.

I squinted my eyes to look at the place I was in, my contact lenses weren't on me and then I realised I wasn't in my house.

I panicked and jumped out of the bed, making a lot of noise and I woke up the guy who was sleeping.

"Why'd you kidnap me?" I exclaimed alarmingly.

"What? Kidnap you? Why would I want to do that?" He stretched and yawn casually.

"What? Then where am I?" I asked sceptically and cautiously, inching away from him slowing.

"Good, now that you are up, get out of my house." He stood up and towered over me.

He then frowned at me and sighed.

I looked at him quizzically. His house? Sounds like something a kidnapper would do.

"What happened?"

"I don't know, I'm not a doctor. But I found you passed out on the ground on my way home." He informed me.

"Oh! You are that 'hot and cute at the same time' guy!" I gasped and exclaimed without second thought.

I immediately shut my mouth and gulped. My face flushed even more and felt even warmer as I cringed in embarrassment, the words I just said ringing in my ears and probably his too.

Why'd you say that? Why do you always say things without thinking? You never change your habits! You dumb girl!

I scolded myself internally and bit my lips, embracing the embarrassment I felt right now.

"What? Is that what you refer me to? Anyways, stop disturbing me, first you creeping at me yesterday and now you pass out in front of and gave me the trouble of taking care of you. Just get out." He sighed again and groaned.

He's sure is good-looking but his attitude is terrible.

I mean, it's not all his fault, I was the one disturbing him.

"Kay, thanks for your help. I'll just...scram now." I blabbered and ran down the stairs.

The door was already unlocked and I just wore my shoes and left.
