HYUNRA POV
The glaring ray of sunlight leaked through my window and hit my face, the light was warm and uncomfortable against my face and it was so annoying.
The loud chirping of the birds was a accompanied by a consistent knocking sound that seemed to be coming for my own front door.
I hugged myself tighter into my covers and pulled myself into a deeper cocoon, hoping that the noises would go away if I ignored them.
But they didn't. In fact, the knocking seemed to only be getting more desperate and annoying.
So much for having a peaceful morning, who the heck is knocking on my door first thing in the morning?
I don't recall ordering anything.
This better be good or that person won't live to see the light next day.
I groaned as I tucked my warm feet out of my covers and slapped the sleep out of me, shivering when my toes tingled, as it came in contact with the cold marble ground.
I stumbled sleepily down the icy marble tiled stairs, clumsily making my way towards the continuous rat-tat-tat noise.
I grumpily huffed and swept the strands of hair on my face backwards messily, looking for the door handle and unlocking the door.
Right after I swung open the door, I heard an irritating and familiar voice I think I'll never forget.
"Hyunra! How are you doing? Here, help me with these." That person shoved a huge bag at me, causing me to shuffle back a few steps and almost falling.
I stabled myself and squinted, trying to make out his face without my glasses or my contact lenses.
"What the heck are you doing here?" I snapped, and ready to snapped that person's neck for waking me up like this.
"And why didn't you use the doorbell instead? I have a working one!" I didn't let him answer and frowned.
"Well, someone's in a bad mood. Your doorbell would've woken up your neighbours." I could roughlt make out a blurry grin on his face.
"I don't think there's a huge difference. And if you can be so considerate for other strangers, can't you be more considerate to your own sister?" I mumbled the first part to myself and then complained loudly in protest.
Seungcheol's grin grew even more as he stepped forward to give me a warm hug as I stood still, my arms pulled down by the heavy bag he gave me.
What the hell does he put in there?
He then let go of me and stepped into my house with a luggage and another bag on his back.
"Seriously, what the heck did you bring? Your not moving into my place are you? Aren't you supposed to live in LA?" I asked, getting worried. I don't want my brother to barge into my own house and invade my personal space.
"No, I'm not moving in. I mean, not really?" He dragged his words and spoke in a nervous high pitched voice as he chuckled nervously.
I furrowed my eyebrows, not entirely trusting him.
"Only for a month."
My eyebrows arched even more.
"Or so." He sheepishly muttered.
I sighed and massaged my temples.
"What happened?" I asked Seungcheol and glanced sideways at him while I placed his bags on the floor and closed the door.
The look of guilt, embarrassment and nervousness was all on his face as he cleared his throat.
"So I used to hang out with this girl in LA--"
I quickly cut him off, "Never mind, save it. I don't understand why you would want to go back to your old ways." I clicked my tongue, irritated.
Seungcheol used to be that flirty playboy who flirted and hooke up with almost all the cute girls he met when he was a teenager. He only took his life seriously when he entered the agency.
But I guessed he was getting bored recently after his contract with his agency ended about a month ago.
"Well, at least I get to spend my precious time with my beloved sister right? Quality family time!" He sang while I couldn't help rolling my eyes and smiling just a little.
"I'm disappointed in you but I'm not surprised." I told him.
He smirked and poke me in my stomach. "Nah, you know you love me," he said cheekily.
"I do, too much I think. Fine, I'll let you stay here, but we need to have rules. M'kay?" I crossed my arms.
"Sure." Seungcheol said but he wasn't paying full attention to me as he grabbed a bag of chips from my snack counter and ripped it open, happily popping chips after chips into his mouth.
"Oi! It's mine, you didn't even ask!" I grew wide-eye, seeing my favourite snack disappearing into the abyss of my brother's mouth.
I attempted to snatch the bag of chips away from his hands but he pulled away and gave me a cheeky smirk.
"Catch me if you can." He teased me and ran up the stairs. I shook my head and groaned.
What did I do wrong to deserve this? Well, it's gonna be a few long months with him.
