Chappie 5

HYUNRA POV

My fever has mostly vanished and subsided after last night and I could function properly again. No more shivering and aching. And fainting in front of some dude.

I was about to go off to work again and I was looking for my sling bag that I always brought out with me but I couldn't find it anywhere in my house.

I have a magazine shooting to go to and I needed to leave soon.

Then it hit me.

I must have left it at that dude's place, if not where could it be?

"Geez, must I really go back and face him again?" I sighed exasperatedly and mentally face-palmed.

How could I be so careless?!

I really do not want to go back there but all my thing are with him. My bag contained my wallet, cash, my cards and some photographs of...

"Why do I still keep photographs of him? He's not going to come back." I said glumly told myself.

"I hope he hasn't touched my things... Thank god my phone was in my pocket."

I still have time left before Eunri comes, I'll have to get my things now.

I slipped on my shoes and exited my house. I dragged myself to his door.

I hesitantly placed my finger on his doorbell and I was about to push it but the door swung open on its own without any warning.

Surprised and shocked, I stumbled backwards and almost tripped on my own footing before someone grabbed my wrist and prevented me from falling.

"Woah." I gasped and caught my breath.

That was close.

I then looked up and saw that dude at the door, grabbing my wrist. I quickly regained my posture and he let go off me.

"Are you looking for this?" He said as he held up my sling bag.

"Ah! Yes." I reached for it but before I could grab it, he pulled it away and hid it behind is back.

I tsked and glared at him. "What do you want? Gimme my bag back."

"Who's that guy in your wallet?" He asked unexpectedly.

"You looked at my things? Rude!" I frowned and lunged at my bag again but once again failing to get it back.

"Answer my question." He insisted.

"He...he's no one. Why do you care? Just give my bag back to me please." I looked away and choked on my words.

He's not no one.

"Because I know him although...he's not here anymore." He said. I looked at him and he looked really sad and depressed.

"I... I know, he's not here anymore. I used to be close to him but then he vanished without a word and I can't find him anymore..." I told him.

"You used to be close with him?" He scrutinised his eyes on me and tilted his head.

"Ye-yeah! Wait, why am I telling you this? Geez." I grumbled and snatched my bag back as he lowered his guard.

I turned around and stomped away, but before I entered my house, that dude shouted, "What's your name?"

I paused and turned around to glare at him for a second.

"Why do you care?" I snapped.

"Nevermind then." He shook his head, turning around, his back facing me. Before he could shut his door, I quickly reluctantly shouted back to him, "Hyunra... it's Hyunra." and went into my house, slamming my door shut.

"Why does he want to know my name?" I asked myself as I leaned against the door.

It's dumb but he really really looks like Jeonghan... It's impossible, Jeonghan's not like him. But the more I think about it, the more he looks like Jeonghan...

"Stop confusing yourself, just don't ever go near him again!" I shook my head in frustration and sighed loudly.

"But he said he says he knows Jeonghan. Maybe they were friends?"

"Let it go, Hyunra." I tried to convince myself.

I gulped. And I thought for a moment.

"No, I'm not letting it go, I'm not letting him go. Maybe that dude knows something about his disappearance." I took a deep breath.

"I'm definitely not over him yet..." I wish I could say that I've forgotten about him, but I can't. All the memories we made together and all the times we've spent with each other were real, the feelings weren't fake.

I loved him.

I know I still do.

My short holiday is almost over.. School's starting tomorrow 😭😭

I actually alr hv a lot of drafts and chapters done but I don't I'm
publishing them anytime soon.
