Chappie 9

HYUNRA POV

My schedule has been so fully packed recently and there were so many performances coming up, I spent most of my nights at the practice room, trying to polish my dance steps with the dancers.

"Let's take a short break." I said as I saw how tired the other dancers were. We all collapsed and sprawled onto the ground as we ignored our beads of perspiration running down our foreheads and our body.

I gulped down the water Eunri handed to me.

I'm not able to go home again tonight.

And to be honest, I'm kinda missing bumping into him.

Thinking of that guy, I haven't thinking much about his confession much since I have so much going on recently, I didn't have much time to think about my own life.

I was thinking about that night, when he confessed, and when we kissed.

I felt my face flush as I thought about the taste on lips that time, the bitter and sweet liquor and my warm tangerine lip balm mixing together on my lips.

The corner of my lips tugged up as I broke into huge grin despite being being super tired and pooped.

I hope he's thinking of me too.

I giggled softly and earned a weird look from Eunri who was almost falling asleep on the couch.

I kinda want to talk to him and hear his voice now but I don't have his number.

I wanna ask him about his current life, I wanna know all about him.

Talking about Jeonghan, he still hasn't told me why he left. Did he have a specific reason? Did he not actually love me?

My mood went from feeling like I was at the top of the world to feeling like I was down in the dumps in a fraction of seconds. I got a little scared as I thought about him not liking me back.

But he should have told me why he left, I want to know why but I'm also worried that I'm invading his privacy.

"Break's over!" My thoughts were cut off as someone called and we all gathered back and worked our butts off for the rest of the night.

"Alright, let's get started," the stylist for this magazine photoshoot said as I sat down on the stool.

I barely smiled and nodded but I was so sleepy and tired, I just want to sleep peacefully right now. Th oh s is my last event for the day and I just had to get over this event and I could return home.

I beared with the painful tugging of my hair and I almost dozed off while the stylist did my hair.

I was only fully awake when the make up artist starting tickling my face with brushes.

I jumped a little as I was startled by the sudden tickling on my face.

"Sorry..." the make up said while concentrating on my face.

I didn't say anything and just stayed still as she tried to poke my eye out with her eyeliner.

"Hyunra, this is your partner for this photoshoot." Eunru suddenly appeared by my side and there was someone else by her side.

"Mingyu, this is Hyunra. You will be working with each other for this photoshoot. So get to know each other." Eunri said and scurried to somewhere else.

Wait, Mingyu? Isn't he...

"Mingyu? Wait, that Mingyu?" I tried to look up up the make up artist was still attacking my face.

"Hyunra?" Mingyu bent a little to try to look at my face but it was blocked by the make up artist.

"Okay, we're done." She said and finally left.

I quickly got up and looked at my partner. He was wearing a matching to me.

I was wearing a turquoise crop top with thin white stripes and it was covered with a long grey cardigan sweater. It was all matched with a white pleated maxi skirt.

He was wearing a similar turquoise shirt with thin white stripes and it was covered with a loose grey pea coat. He was also wearing a matching white long pair of pants.

"I think we're doing a couple outfit photoshoot." He must have noticed my curiosity for our matching outfits and said, taking my attention was away from our outfits.

"It's you! It's been so long." I gasped and broke into a genuine smile.

It was that Mingyu, the one I used to be really close with.

"Yeah, it's been really long. Fancy meeting you here, I thought I was doing this photoshoot alone, I'm glad I'm doing it with you." He asked cheerfully, he hasn't changed much from what I see.

"Yeah, me too. Anyways, let's do our best for this photoshoot." I said and he nodded.

"Yep, we should catch up sometime." He chuckled and we talked a little more, surprisingly there was no awkwardness. And we also somehow ended up exchanging our numbers.

I'm surprised and glad that I'm meeting him after so long. I just hope that neither of us brings up our past by accident.

"Hyunra and Mingyu, hello, I'm Mr. Park. It's a great honor to have you featured in our magazine. Let's get started." The producer, I guess, said.

He led us to a huge room with a white screen for the backdrop and a stool as the prop in front of the white screen.

The glaring lights shone on my face as I stepped into the brightly lighted area.

I was instructed to sit on it and we posed as we were told to.

We were pretty close to each other as there was one pose where I had to hug him from behind as Mingyu sat on the stool.

Our faces were right next to each other and I was honestly quite nervous, being so near to a guy.

"Don't they look like a real couple together?"

"Right? They look so good together."

I heard a few whispers and squeals.

There were a few more clicks and Mr. Park gave us a thumbs up.

"Alright, we're done." and I gladly let go of Mingyu.

"Hyunra, please change your clothes." Eunri came to me as I stepped out of the lighted area.

"Good work, I hope to see you again." Mingyu said and I nodded, smiling.

"Yea, see you round'." I waved and we went our separate ways.

"Oh my gosh, you two looked so cute together. Like a real couple! And I saw you guys exchange numbers. You look so close to him." Eunri started gushing as soon as we were alone.

"O-oh. Well, I know him. We used to be really close friends." I told her.

"Really? Then what happened?"

"Haha. Actually, we dated and then we broke up. After that, I guess work just caught up and we didn't have the chance to talk again." I explained.

"Oh." Eunri stopped asking questions.

But I hope we can have proper conversation soon.
