Chapter 8

Nico’s p.o.v

I grieved for Percy a lot after he disappeared. After I got over my…well…you know…feelings about him, I always thought of him as a brother. When we all defeated Gaea, I thought everything would go back to normal, but boy was I wrong! After the war, I developed a crush on Thalia and ever since then I hung out more at Camp Half-Blood, just to be close to my friends…and Thalia. I know she’s like probably year older than me or I might be older than her, since I AM from another era but in love, anything can happen. Wait, what?!?! Rewind…LOVE?!? Oh my gods, my feelings for Thalia must be developing. Anyways I’m headed towards the Underworld. I haven’t been there for a long time, and Dad called for a special ‘meeting’. I hope I didn’t do anything wrong. You do NOT wanna see the bad side of Hades. Oh I do not remember that DISGUSTING smell. I saw Charon behind his desk, as usual. “Yo! Charon! I need to hitch a ride to Hade’s palace. I’m in a hurry. Do you mind?” I exclaim. “Well sorry you will have to wait in the li-“His sentence is cut when he finally looks up at me. The color drains out of his face, like a pipe draining water. “Oh yes Master Nico, right away” He says worriedly. I smirk and answer “Charon, don’t worry. I won’t tell Hades a thing” He sighs in relieve, yet takes me as quickly as he can. After he drops me off, he salutes and rows back.

      Wow Dad, kept the decorations the same. I think. Nothing is different. I remember all this when I was that moody old weirdo. I chuckle at me being so childish, thinking that no one would like me. No I have so many friends! Roman AND Greek. Wow, how many teens do you hear say that? I enter Hade’s throne room and there he is sitting there tapping impatiently. When he spots he says “Ah! Nico! About time. I have good news for you, which also will probably make you angry at me and shocked.” OK, now this I gotta hear…”Nico, you and Bianca weren’t the only DiAngelo’s. There is your brother…Jake DiAngelo. I hid him in Hotel Lily instead. I knew your future and I had to make you too meet at exactly the right time.” WOW! I have a brother! “Yeah Dad, I understand. You made me think that I was the only Hade’s kid till I met Hazel, which doesn’t count cuz her father is Pluto. But you made me feel like a complete loner, but THIS IS THE RIGHT TIME!?!? WOW DAD! GOOD TIMING!” I practically yell at my dad! All this time, I could have had a brother. A companion. I wasted YEARS of quality bro-time. My dad flinched at my reaction, but I heard something else…something…a yelp? It comes from the corner back of Dad’s throne. “See dad, I told you fratello * wouldn’t be happy...” it sounds so sad and rejected, I feel like slapping myself for being so harsh. And then appears, something I wasn’t expecting. AN EXACT REPLICA OF ME! “Nico, Meet your brother, Jake” my dad says softly. He looks EXACTLY like me, same height, same hair, and same bright black eyes, like me. I just stand there like a goldfish, with my mouth wide open. “Close your mouth fratello” Jake says with a chuckle. He even sounds like me. I close my mouth and run to him saying “Dio mio, di mio fratello. Mio caro fratello, ho finalmente conoscerti!**” I encounter him with a huge hug! He laughs and hugs me back while dad just watching us with watery eyes. I pull away from the hug “dad are you crying?” I giggle at him. “NO, I’m just…sweating…through my eyes” he replies. “Nico, you shall take him to Camp Half-Blood. Now leave” We are suddenly in front

 of Camp Half-Blood and just then I come up with a perfect prank. “Hey Jake, I gotta I idea…” I smirk. “Prank time?” he answers with the same smirk. “Prank time” I do a fake evil laugh before whispering my plan into Jake’s ear…

Thalia’s p.o.v

I was just clashing my dagger at some dummies, and by dummies I mean those statue dudes, not like Percy. I sigh, Percy was my cousin well, actually not cuz he’s like the son of Choas. I wasn’t surprised. Percy was a really strong and determine fighter. Annabeth loved him a lot. I’m staying in Camp Half-Blood to support Annabeth. She needs it. After all she’s been through. When the 8 came back from their EXTREMELY LONG quest, I expected everything to go back to normal. Nico and I also had a talk about it. Nico…ever since he came back, he’s so…different. More attractive. THALIA!! YOU’RE A FREAKIN MAIDEN! YOU CANT LIKE ANYONE! Gahhh….. that is one thing I hate of my position I am in right now. I might have a little tiny crush on Nico. I told Annabeth about it and ever since she’s been teasing me about it, saying that both Nico and I make a great couple since we are both Goths. I find that insulting. I hear footsteps approaching behind me. I swirl around and raise my dagger to the person’s neck. Lucy from Aphrodite’s cabin. I like her. She’s like Piper. Not TOTALLY girly, yet she has an aura of beauty. She yelps in surprise. I lower my dagger and smile at her. “Hey Thalia…Have you seen Nico anywhere?” I narrow my eyes at her. “No…Why?” I say, my voice dangerously suspicious. “Jason asked me to find him cuz he wants to talk to him.” Oh. “I don’t know myself”. Lucy looks at me and smiles. “Thalia, I know you have feelings for Nico.” I tensely look at her. “Who told you?!? Did Annabeth!?!” I say quickly while my anger is raising dangerously high. Lucy senses my discomfort and answers “No. I figured my self. I AM the daughter of Aphrodite…” I sigh “please don’t tell anyone…” I say, my voice no higher than a whisper. Then I hear something move in the bushes. Suddenly Nico bursts out, his arms and face cover with bruises and scratches. “NICO! What happened? Who did this to you??” I yell, worriedly. Lucy and I rush to him. “Evil…counter…part *gasps* trying…to kill…me” he answers. Then comes out another Nico. Yep, you’re probably wonder Thalia totally lost it, but I am saying the truth.

I guy who looks exactly like Nico, but with an evil smirk on his face. “I shall kill you all! But first I shall start with my counterpart.” The-Guy-Who-Looks-Exactly-Like-Nico. You know what ill call him nico 2. Then then Nico snorted and said “game over, man. Too hilarious.” And with that both of them start laughing. “Thalia, Lucy this is…
