Chapter 24

Percy's p.o.v

After the fight, laid infront if me were a couple of dirty, tired and confused demigods. Artemis came up to me and said 'hey...' I smiled and attempted to kiss her. She plastered a uneasy smile on her face and moved her head away. I frowned at the act. 'Artemis, are you okay?' i asked softly. 'I think we should break up...' What?

I nodded and said 'Okay...' Artemis smiled and walked away. Sighing I turned away from her and saw Annabeth. Her looks never seemed to lack in beauty even in a horrible state. Her blonde hair messy and all over the place which looked cute on her. Her grey eyes shone in determination and strength, just like the old her, Her sun-kissed skin glistened with sweat. And her lips were more  tempting than needed. She looked up at me and nervously waved her hand. I smiled, harder and wider than it should have been. She looked at me like i was contaminnated with a disease. . . and then laughed. 

Her laugh sounded like stars twinkling in her favour. It was music to my ears. I couldn't help but smile. After her crazy laughter session her winked at me and started talking to Bianca. I looked to Jayce who was googly-eyes all over Bianca. I smirked and scooted towards him. 'Hey bro. Saw you heart-eyeing Bianca. Does someone have a teeny crush?' Jayce was startled at my appearance and blushed hard. He tried to mouth some words but he failed,  'So uh Jayce! Ma Bro! Wanna fill me up with details?' I asked desperately whilst sitting next to him. He looked at me with a smile. 

'Err....ya okay. So this stupid quest was to get you back and now we have to go back to Camp Half-Blood. I just Iris-Messaged Chiron and there is battle. News is that its an army of almost every monster and the leader is End. He's actually there. I could feel his aura even across the Iris Message!' Jayce replied. His voice was filled with concern. I put an arm around him and pulled him close. 

  'Don't worry Jay. It will be over. Wars always end, bad or good.' He looked at me unimpressed. 'Thanks bro. Such inspirational advice.' I rolled my eyes.

'But seriously we have to get to Camp Half-Blood!' Jayce says. I nod and stand up. 'Hey guys we need to get to Camp so imma open a vortex to Camp and you guys jump through, I really don't care whom is first just. . .jump!' I yelled. Concentrating I managed to open one wide enough for 50 ogres to fit through. And we all jumped in. . .
