Chapter 23

Jayce's p.o.v
Seeing Zoe like this made me angry. She didn't deserve this. No one did. But the prophecy said "13 shall go..." And now we are 14. "Umm... Guys, we now have 14 people but the prophecy specified 13 people only." I said to the group. And cue silence.
"I'll go back!" Sammy said. Luke started to protest, but Sammy shook his head. "It's ok Luke. I'll get to see my grandson. WHOOP!" He said. Soon he shadow travelled back. We started our quest and made it to Hover Dam.
"Guys, let's have a break!" Lacy said, panting. Everyone collapsed in agreement. "To the dam snackbar" Thalia said, chuckling. We all looked at her strangely. "Inside joke" she replied.
We reached the snack bar and ate. I kept having a feeling that we were being watched. Suddenly I heard a roar.

Oh great! Gryphons.
Dozens of them.

I unsheathed my sword an sliced demon after demon. Every slice. Double the demons. We all sliced and killed them all.
I looked at the group gravely. "We've gotta keep moving!"

Percy's p.o.v
I woke up from the smell of cooking soup. I opened my eyes to see a tent. A green scaley roof covering the ceiling. i shot up suprised at the surroundings but they were. . . oddly familiar.

"well look who's awake! good morning or whatever...." A scaly voice said. i scrambled out of bed to see Damasen cooking stew. 'Damasen?" I questioned. He stood up and rubbed his hands. 'Yup! Right on the first try!! WHOOP!' He said with mock enthusiasum. "Welcome back! How's your girlfriend. . .Annabeth was it? Dang was she a determined demigod. So proud you guys beat the poop outta Gaea!" i thought about Annabeth. I missed her soft blonde hair, her laugh, her eyes. . .'Man you good?' Damasen said snapping his fingers infront of my eyes.

'Uh ya! I'm good, so is Annabeth!' I say distractly. "Ookey! Now tell me what brings you back to this amazing destination?" Damasen said, sarcastically. i chuckled and sat down. I told him the whole story and by the time I finished his face turned serious. 'Okay so basically now you have powers. . . Why don't you just teleport yourself back?' Damasen asked.

i thought about that. 'Oh. . .OH YA!' I yelled. Damasen rolled his eyes and went back to cooking. 'I wonder how you and Annabeth got together.' He mumbled. I just ignored him. 'Before you go, have some stew. You'll need your power against End!!" Damasen prompted. I sighed, but in the inside i really wanted to eat. I gulped the stew down, said my goodbyes and teleported.

I opened one eye and a whole group of familiar demigods. Then I opened both and smiled widely. Only then did I realize that they were staring at something behind me. I turned around and *drum roll* AN ARMY OF GRYPHONS! YAY! Cue sarcasm. I took out Riptide and yelled 'CHARGE MY MINIONS!' I ran and attack and so did the gryphons. I saw my group of demigods fight against the gryphons. 'Hey bro!' A demigod said. 'Uh. . .Dude do I know you?' I said, kicking a gryphon. His face fell. 'Naw. You probably don't. And it's not an amazing time to introduce myself but Hi! I'm Jayce Jackson. You're brother.'

Woah.

Wait.

What?

'JAYCE??' I yelled turning around. Damn!! He looked exactly like me! I quickly hugged him and continued fighting.

I deserve a proper explanation
