"Hailey, where are you going!?" Patrick yelled, running after the girl.
"Away from Michael" Hailey said as she unlocked her car. Patrick didn't witness what happened inside, so he was a bit confused.
"Why?! All he did was come looking for you" Patrick pointed out and Hailey scoffed as she opened her car door.
"He still believes that Jay's his best friend... and he point blank told me that uh... let's see... basically said I mean nothing to him after five years of dating" Hailey said and closed her car door.
"Hailey..." Patrick tried to stop Hailey, but it was too late. She already drove the car off towards wherever she was heading.
Michael soon came out of the house and walked towards the driveway. He rolled his eyes noticing her car was missing.
"She's so sensitive, it's pretty annoying!" Michael said angrily, making Patrick push him.
"Don't be an asshole! You basically told her that she doesn't matter to you after five years!!" Patrick stated towards his older brother.
Michael remained silent once he noticed he made a mistake. He never told Hailey that she matters to him.
"Well she'll come back to me" Michael said, then headed back towards the front door. Patrick pulled his arm to face him.
"You're not going to chase after her?!?" Patrick asked upset with his brother.
"Nope! This isn't some fairy tale Pat, it's life. If she truly loves me she'll come running back home" Michael said and walked back into the house.
Patrick groaned loud, disappointed in his older brother. He stormed into the house and pushed Michael onto the ground.
"WhAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!?" Michael yelled as he stood back up. He rarely ever fought with his siblings, but today's a different day.
"I'M TEACHING YOU HOW TO BE A MAN! GO GET YOUR GIRL! OR AT LEAST CALL HER! SHE'S STILL YOUR FIANCÉE ISN'T SHE?!?" Patrick yelled, and Michael sighed.
"Yeah you're right, but I'm not calling right now. I'll do it later" he said as he walked towards the bathroom.
"You're a horrible fiancé. Talking shit about her behind her back, being so rude and won't even go after her" Patrick said, making a "tist tist tist" noise with his mouth.
"I'm not horrible to her!!! Just because I'm angry doesn't mean I'm horrible to her! And who doesn't talk shit about who they're dating?" Michael asked as he untied his tie.
"Really Michael? Really? Ya know what? I'm not even going to try and help you, I hope she dumps you" Patrick said and walked off.
Michael sighed and ignored his comment. He looked into the mirror and wished Hailey was standing next to him.
He rolled his eyes just figuring she wanted a little break from him. He undressed from the suit he was wearing, and took a quick shower.
Currently, Hailey drove back to her parents house. She got out of the car and walked in.
"Hey mom, hey dad" Hailey said making the two look in her direction. They smiled at her, and then frowned noticing Michael wasn't next to her.
"Where's Mic-" her dad started, only for Hailey to cut him off.
"Don't bring him up tonight, okay? Thanks. Can I stay here for the night?" Hailey asked, and her parents exchanged looks then nodded.
"Of course!" Her mom said with a soft smile.
"Do I have to talk to him, man to man?" Her dad asked, making Hailey giggle.
"No it's fine, he's just... I don't know... being an idiot" Hailey said with a shrug.
"He's probably stressed out Hailey... his best friend just objected his wedding" her mom chimed in and Hailey sighed.
"You know what's crazy? He still thinks of Jay as a best friend! How could you after that!? I just- UGH!" Hailey yelled annoyed and ran up the stairs to her old room.
Hailey walked towards her closet to pick out something to wear to bed. Nothing was in her drawers since she's moved out. She kept a few things here to sleep in when ever she wanted or needed to.
Hailey went from hanger, to hanger and couldn't find anything. She stopped on one red hoodie that made her smile a bit. It was one she stole from Michael a few years back. She never gave it back to him.
She pulled out the red, Obey hoodie and smiled. It still smelt of his cologne which Hailey found a bit crazy. She started to tear up, thinking he hasn't even said a thing since she left.
Hailey changed into the hoodie and laid down in her old bed. She sighed and curled up to herself, scrolling through her Instagram feed. She stopped on a post that made her over think.@michaelbmoc- going home for a while, can't wait to see my family! ❤️
Hailey sighed and just wondered why he didn't even mention that to her. A few tears fell from Hailey's eyes as she liked the photo.
She laid in bed over thinking about everything. Is this the end of Hichael? Will they not- Hailey stopped mid thought when she realized his family was here for the wedding. Hailey sat up in her bed and texted him a screenshot.
Hailey- uhh what is this lie???
Michael- it's not a lie???
Hailey- your family is all here,
Michael why are you lying to me?
Michael- I'm not lying to you stop over thinking everything
Hailey- MICHAEL YOUR FAMILY WAS AT THE WEDDING HERE IN SAN FRAN SO WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!?
Michael- shut up and leave me alone thanks 👋🏻
Hailey's heart stopped for a bit after she read that text message. She typed a text back with shaky hands, as well as tears running down her cheeks.
Hailey- wow... okay... bye I won't bother you anymore...
Michael- good
Hailey- Michael...
Michael- what happened to not bothering me??? 😤
Hailey- I JUST WANT TO ASK YOU SOMETHING
Michael- WHAT LADY
Hailey- did you ever love me?
Michael left Hailey on read, and she couldn't help but break down. She cried into her pillow and thought that this was all her fault. Maybe Hichael's going to end... for good...
