It was almost a month since Michael and Hailey last seen each other. Michael was now on his tour and was going to LA for the last leg of the tour.
"Michael, aren't you excited to go back to LA? It's been months!!!" Brady exclaimed, and Michael just shrugged his shoulders. He wasn't sure if he should be happy to go to LA or not.
"Oh come on! I'm sure Hailey will be happy to see y-"  Drew cut in, before Chance could continue.
"ChaNCE WHY WOULD YOU EVEN TRY TO BRING THAT UP!?!?" Drew yelled at the boy. Chance backed down, realizing what he was going to say.
"S-sorry Michael I wasn't thinking I just-" Michael cut off Chance's rambling and nodded.
"It's okay Chance, honestly it's fine... I have a weird feeling about this performance..." Michael said and Sergio rose his eyebrow.
"Weird as in...?" Sergio asked, curious as to what he was trying to get at.
"I don't know... but I have a weird feeling about tonight, okay? It's just... I don't know..." Michael said, and his stomach has been queasy but he wasn't sure why. He wasn't sick, or getting sick so that theory was crossed out.
"Bad or good feeling? I hope good, because I'm feeling really happy today!!" Brady said, jumping around in the airport waiting for their plane.
"A mixture?" Michael said softly and the five walked onto their plane. The five decided to relax and sleep on the plane, since tour was physically draining the five boys.
Hailey was at home with her husky since Michael wasn't back from tour. She only got to see him when Michael wasn't home in LA.
The puppy whined, and Hailey started to tear up. She realized he got so used to Michael, that it didn't seem like she mattered that much to him anymore.
"Hey, I-I know you miss him... I-I do too sometimes" Hailey said softly, her eyes welling up in tears. "B-but he decided to chose a different route in life, y-ya know?" Hailey told the dog softly, as she petted his fur to relax her.
"Hailey, are you alright?" Devin asked, walking out of the bedroom. Hailey shrugged as Devin took a seat next to Hailey on the floor.
"I'm not sure Dev... I-I miss him, ya know? But it's just... I gotta move on! I can't keep this pain anymore!" Hailey said and leaned her head into his shoulder. Devin kissed her head, as he rubbed her back.
"They're gonna be in Cali for a week for their tour" Devin said, and Hailey nodded.
"I know... and he's going to come to get our doggy..." Hailey said upset, and Devin nodded.
"Want me to go back home? I don't want to cause anymore problems between you and Michael" Devin said starting to stand up.
"You're not causing any problems Devin! It's Michael who keeps causing them, stay here" Hailey said and Devin nodded.
It was now 4:30pm and Michael landed and was ready to text Hailey. He wasn't ready to see her face to face though.
Michael- I'm ready to pick up Jake☺️
          Hailey- ok
Michael- I'm sorry Hailey I really am!!! I wish I could make everything up to you I really wish I could!
           Hailey- ok
Michael- can you text me more than a word?!?
            Hailey- more than a word
Michael- forget this...I'll see you at yours at 5
             Hailey- ok
Michael- it really hurts when you only "ok" me and not even "okay" me
             Hailey- cool
Michael- alright whatever I'll see you later bye
              Hailey- ok:)
              Michael- :)
              Hailey- lol no
Michael- wow I got more than an ok
               Hailey- bye
               Michael- bye...
Michael arrived at Hailey's house, just at 5pm. Jake was more than happy to see Michael. Hailey on the other hand, was not ready to see him.
"Okay Jake, I know you're happy but stop pulling me!" Hailey demanded, and the dog sat down quickly.
The door bell rang, and Hailey opened the door and saw the black haired boy. Jake jumped on Michael, and licked his face. Michael smiled softly, and giggled at the dog.
Hearing Michael's giggle, felt like a spear going through Hailey's chest. She missed making him giggle, and hearing his giggle. She missed seeing his smile everyday.
"He's gotten big, hasn't he?" Michael asked Hailey, trying to get some small talk.
"Y-yeah... he has..." Hailey said, looking from Michael to the ground. Michael sighed and took the leash into his left hand.
"I uh, I have something for you..." Michael said softly, and Hailey looked up at the boy. She didn't look into his eyes, but she did look at him.
"You don't n-need to get me anything Michael, we're not together anymore. There's nothing to keep us connected, Michael. I don't need any gifts, or souvenirs" Hailey tried to point out to him.
Despite Hailey's declines in any of Michael's offers, he dug into his back pocket. He took out a concert ticket to his LA show. He handed it to Hailey, hoping she'd take it.
"Here's a-a ticket to t-t-tonight's show... if you come, I'll assume we can make things right once again... I-if you don't show up, then I know where our relationship stands..." Michael said, and Hailey took the ticket from him.
"Only one ticket?" Hailey asked, looking at the single ticket in her hand, which Michael nodded.
"Only f-f-for you... it's VIP too so uh, if you feel uncomfortable you c-can go backstage" Michael said and Hailey let out a deep breath.
"Thank you" Hailey said, and ran her fingers down Jake's back, making him wag his tail from side to side.
"Anytime" Michael said, and the atmosphere got quiet and awkward. Michael took that as a hint for him to go. "Uh, I'll uh, go now... thanks for watching Jake..." Michael said, starting to step out of the doorway.
"It's my pleasure... I love him..." Hailey said, now turning her eyes to the dog,
"So do-...does he..." Michael said, catching himself before he could mess up again. Hailey let out a sharp breath, and nodded.
"Bye Michael... tell the boys I said hey, and uh... have a good concert" Hailey said as she started to close the door.
"Bye Hailey... I-I will" Michael said, and the door closed. "I hope you come" Michael whispered to himself, and pulled the leash so the two could walk to his car.
Michael's stomach started to get more queasy after he gave Hailey the concert ticket. He only hoped, that was a good sign. But the way Hailey acted, he thought other wise.
