Michael rolled his eyes and walked into Hailey's and his bedroom. He sighed and laid down on his bed.
He laid there on his side, and wished that Hailey was there next to him. But another part of him was kind of relived that he had a break from her.
He heard his phone ding, and he saw it was a text from Jay. He opened the text message and sighed.
Jay- great wedding 👏🏼
Michael- shut up
Jay- so I guess she's not taking your last name anytime soon, huh?
Michael- what do you mean???
Jay- check Hailey's recent IG post 😋
He sighed and went onto his Instagram app. He searched Hailey's profile and found it. He saw her recent and shook his head. It was a black picture and it had a caption.
@Hailey_18- I'm taking the hint that this is a break 🤷♀️
Michael chuckled at her childish actions. He then decent to comment on it.

Michael- I don't want to
Hailey- why?!?
Michael- because I don't want to
Hailey- god Michael why can't you be mature and talk it out with me?
Michael- you want a break that's what we're doing bye
Hailey- okay.
Hailey sighed and just gave up not wanting to fight with him anymore. She didn't understand why he was acting like this all of a sudden.
"Hailey are- oh you're up" her mom said softly, and Hailey nodded.
"I cried all night... I didn't really sleep" Hailey said truthfully and her mom sighed.
"You guys need to talk" her mom told her and Hailey scoffed.
"I've tried to mom, he doesn't want to hear it! We're on a break right now. I have no one to go to for advice- I mean you- but like uGHH" Hailey groaned annoying pulling her hair.
"Shhh shhh it's going to all work out" her mom said pulling her into a tight hug. Hailey sighed and let out a sob into her moms arms.
Hailey heard her phone ding, but she knew it wasn't Michael. Her mom looked at it and noticed it was Bailey who texted her.
"Bailey texted you" her mom said and Hailey pulled away and read the text.
Bailey- what's going on with you and Michael?! Mikey told me a lot of shit went down at the wedding! And your recent IG post has me worried...
Hailey- we're on a break right now, all we're doing is arguing. Jay objected the wedding and Michael still thinks of him as a friend and everything's falLING APART BAILEY I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO
Bailey- oh shit I'm so so sorry! And I can't believe he still thinks of him as a friend, he's so stupid no offense! And listen, a break is what you both need right now
Hailey- the thing is, he's being a total asshole to me Bailey...
Bailey- ARE YOU SERIOUS???
Hailey- yup and it gets worst... I asked him if he ever loved me, and he left me on read
Bailey- whAT AN ASSHOLE WHAT THE HELL!!??? I WANT TO BEAT HIM UP! I can have Mikey talk to him if you want me to?
Hailey- no, don't... it's whatever I'm just letting it take its course ya know? I'm sick of this pain Bailey, and if he doesn't care about me then so be it. I'm done trying for now
Bailey- this hurts... you guys were so so happy! I don't want Hichael to be over, let me do something!!!
Hailey- maybe, but not today...
Bailey- I love you girly, and I'm always here okay?

The day went on, and Michael sighed to himself. He didn't know what to do. He really didn't want to let his guard down. But, he did lie to Hailey but he wasn't going to admit that.
After five weeks of the two bring on a break, Hailey decided to try and break the ice. Marcus was the one to tell her if he wasn't cooperating after this text, it means they're over.
Hailey- hey Michael... uh I know you don't want to talk to me but I love you okay?
Michael- Hailey..
Hailey- yeah?
Michael- I did something bad a few weeks ago
Hailey- what was it?
Michael- so remember when I said I was going to see my family?
Hailey- yup..
Michael- I didn't go to see my family
Hailey- MICHAEL I SWEAR TO GOD
Michael- I went to see my ex and I cheated on you
Hailey- YOU'RE AN ASSHOLE GOODBYE I'M SO DONE! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU WOULD DO THAT TO ME! I GUESS DAMN WELL YOU NEVER DID LOVE ME!!!
Michael- I NEVER SAID THAT I DIDN'T LOVE YOU CAN YOU LET ME EXPLAIN THE SITUATION FIRST?!?
Hailey- NO I'M NOT LETTING YOU EXPLAIN YOUR DUMBASS EXCUSES! I'M GETTING MY SHIT TOMORROW BYE DON'T TALK TO ME EVER AGAIN!
Hailey blocked his number and cried into her pillow once again. She decided to text Marcus the horrible news.
Hailey- MARCUS PENDLETON!!!!!!
Marcus- what's up?
Hailey- I HATE HIM SO MUCH YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW!!!
Marcus- WHAT HAPPENED?!?
Hailey- HE LIED TO ME AND CHEATED ON ME WITH HIS EX I'M SO DONE! I'M GETTING MY SHIT TOMORROW AND LEAVING HIM!!!!
Marcus- did he explain?????
Hailey- I DON'T WANT TO HEAR HIS STUPID EXCUSES MARCUS!!! I'M DONE I DON'T WANT HIS LAST NAME ANYMORE! CLEARLY I DIDN'T MEAN ANYTHING TO HIM! HE NEVER EVEN TOLD ME IF HE EVER LOVED ME!
Marcus- Hailey... I'm so sorry this is all happening. You deserve the world ya know? And I wish things were better. But maybe he'll explain tomorrow?
Hailey- I don't even know if I want him to, Marcus. It just hurts knowing while hE HAD THAT RING ON HIS FINGER THAT HE STILL FELT THAT HE HAD TO CHEAT ON ME!!!
Marcus- when you say it like that, that shows how much of an ass he is. Please dump him
Hailey- I already am
Just after Hailey sent that text, she took off her promise ring. She looked at it, and teared up as she remembered the night he gave it to her.
Hailey sighed and started to sob hard. She placed the ring on her desk, and she planed on handing it back to Michael tomorrow. Looks like good things do come to an end...
