One of my favorite seasons was approaching. The leaves were falling, the air was chilly. Winter was coming. I felt a buzz in my back pocket, making my take it out and open the message.

I went with a warmer outfit for today. I grabbed my phone and got in the car to go to Alec's house.
***Time Skip-Alec's house*** I knocked on the front door and then Alec came down to open it.
"Hey there!" I said.
"Hey Emma, come in!" He replied "Ok so there is something I wanted to ask you."
"Sure go ahead." I replied.
"Would you be willing to go on a date with me?" He asked, making my eyes go wide.
I was in complete shock. I really didn't expect him to like me like that, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel anything like that for him, either.
"I'd love to."

I went downstairs to find Alec sitting on the couch on his phone. I sat next to him and looked at his phone with him.
"You ready to go?" He asked, eyeing me up and down. "Yep lets go." I replied
***Time Skip-After the date (I'm too lazy)***
"Tonight was a really good night and I'm glad I said yes to coming on this date with you Alec." I said, as I held his hand.
"I had a good time too. Obviously it's too early to start dating but I want to know your honest opinion on me."
I cleared my throat, "Alec, you're a really great and caring guy. You made me feel happy again and I'm truly grateful for that. You've gotten me through a rough patch in my life I couldn't possibly go through alone, and I love you (in the friend way y'all calm thyselves) for that."
He nodded, "Good to know."
"Why did you ask?"
"I needed to know if I was boyfriend material or not."
