A week past, I came home from work looking at Jaeden's empty bed. I sighed standing up and going to my room quietly.
I took a seat on my bed then seen Katelyn asleep. I looked at my phone seeing all the messages on my phone.

"Raquel?" I heard a light voice call out
I dragged a hand down my face sniffing. I turned and seen Katelyn crawling over by my side.
"Wassup ladybug" she curled up against me, "is Jaeden gone?" She asked
"What? Why would you say that?" I asked looking at her
She shrugged, "Mama cries everytime I mention him. Daddy tries to play games with me whenever I bring him up."
I looked away
"Is he gone?" She asked
I didn't know what to say my eyes were filling with water.
"I never say this to Jaeden but he's the only friend I got besides you. He's always there when I need help with my homework or just don't have anybody to talk to"
"Really?" I asked trying to sound enthusiastic
"Yea he's actually fun. One time I had a whole math worksheet to do. I didn't know how to subtract and he taught me, you wanna know how?" She asked with her eyes staring at me as she stood on her knees.
I nodded
"Okay we can do 7-4. Hold up 7 fingers"
I did she started putting some of my fingers down, "the cookie monster eats one cookie, two cookie, three cookie and four cookie. Then he goes mhm I'm full how much Is left for later??" She smiled, "there's three left so the cookie monster has three he can eat later"
I smirked, "he taught you all that?" I asked
She nodded, "yeah! He got me a 100 on my test. I got the highest grade in the class for the first time Raquel"
"What?" I asked knowing she was terrible at math.
"Yea he bought me burger kings and everything"
She smiled I could tell she was thinking about it.
"I love Jaeden I can't say he's my favorite, but I don't know Raquel you gotta look out he might be my favorite brother now" she said shrugging and eyeing me
"I was always your favorite" she shrugged again
"Ion know Jaeden caught up" She said plainly
I started tickling her like crazy, "go back to bed"
"No school today again?" She asked as I snuggled her into my sheets
I nodded, "Yeah no school" I kissed her forehead since she was dosing off.
