I looked and seen Tyla come over. She had on shades so I couldn't see her eyes.
"Tyla what's up?" Helen asked
She ignored her, ain't even acknowledge her.
"I thought I told you to wait for me" she said
"You were on the phone" her cousin said
"What's wrong?" Tyla asked her
"I can't return the shirt, Tyla!!"
Tyla looked at me and I stood up straight all uncomfortable.
"S-she wants to r-return it but she ripped the price tag off" I showed her the price tag
She didn't even look down
She pulled a receipt from her pocket.
"Here" she handed me the receipt and I looked at it. Then entered information into the computer
I could feel eyes on me, it was mad weird
"You can exchange, or get points put on your card"
"Tyla I want t-the glasses ! Get him these " she pointed to these glasses on the shelf
"How much are they?" She asked me
I looked, "about $200,"
She handed me her card, "Aubrey go get it" she said to the little girl

She began texting someone.
"I liked ya performance last night it was good" I said lowly
She nodded playing with her locks. She kept looking at her watch then turning her head back.
She was fidgety.
"They done got long you gon twist the roots up?" I asked referring to her dreads
She shrugged
Her phone went off and she answered it.
Yeah I'll be there in 20 minutes...no I had to bring my cousin to the store.... down there? We neva go down thea... it's cold yall
She started smiling
Y'all serious?... if we don't get caught then I'll be down, you know the drill... Yeah the whole family came in town and I just put myself in my room, they woke me up when I finally went to sleep too, I was heated

Tyla turned her head putting the phone to her ear, "The girl has been acting spoiled since she got hea' my sister done gave $1000 dollars and now she don't know how to act. Driving everyone in my family to take her to the damn mall. Jesus takes her and instead of buying Christmas gifts like she said she would she bought all these toys for her damn self."
