Chapter 24

I let Nic pushed my car out til I was able to maneuver my car out the exit.

Punyeta ka Nicoli...

Two cars went ahead of me and Nic's struggling to get his way out because two cars are blocking him. I smirked.

"Kiddo, it started aye?" I heard Big Shaq asked through the earpiece.

I pushed the button on it to let him know I heard him. The struggles of a mute...

"Chamelle's trying to find your location and send you the map"

Chamelle's one of Big Shaq's crew and the brain of my races. She's behind the GPS things and she's been helping me throughout every race. Let's just say I haven't seen her yet and she haven't heard my voice.

I pressed the button again and chased those two cars ahead. One of them, I recognize. The other one's new.

I stepped on the gas even more and kinda drifted to go over the new one's car. He honked when I left him behind. 

Pussy

We reached an off terrain and it's not all about speed anymore. The car ahead of me slowed down too. I need that freaking map now because trees are all around me and the dark's not helping me either.

Minumura ko na sa isip ko 'tong daan nang biglang mag-stop 'yong sasakyan sa harap ko. I stopped too, hindi ko siya malagpasan dahil one way lang at bangin na pala ang nasa kanan ko. May ilaw na ding palapit sa likuran ko, signaling that someone's coming closer. 

Out of heaven's luck, nag flash na sa screen ko ang map. About damn time.

So we're at some hill at dead end na kinalalagyan namin. Engot pala 'tong sinusundan kong sasakyan eh. I reversed and turned left, running over some thick bushes. I continued til I found the right track. 

I'm leading this race--- or so I thought dahil nakikita ko ang sasakyan ni Nicoli ahead of me. 

Oh game on, bitch, game on.

"Is that Nicoli?" Big Shaq asked. They can see from this view because I've got camera on my dash.

"It'll rain, babe. Take caution" that's Chamelle.

I nod my thanks.

I glanced hope when I saw a wide space ahead, enought to fit my car and chance to go over that dipshit driver ahead of me.

Just when I reached Nicoli's side, rain dropped and it took all my vision to get me the lead. I had to scratch my car though. Ten seconds and I'm driving on a descent road again but it's wide, Nicoli and the others can catch up.

"Off road ahead" warned Chamelle.

Nicoli's hot on my right side now, bumping my car out the road. 

You race dirty, pal.

He's slightly ahead but he slows down when we reached the off road. I didn't decrease my speed tho, I go full speed. My car's geared up for this anyway.

"You're near, I can see those legs" Chamelle said.

My brows dropped. Legs? 

Oh sure, I can see ladies wearing short shorts, waving the black and white flags. Finish line's near.

I crossed it.

"Sweet" Big Shaq whistled. 

I smirked. 

"See you later, kiddo"

"4 reached, 2 crashed" announced some brunette chick. Just four reached the finished line and for some reason, the other two cars crashed somewhere. I hope they didn't fall down that cliff.

 I removed my earpiece and grabbed my door. I can see Nicoli exiting his car. He finished at 3rd place. What the heck happened? He was hot behind my tail.

So naunahan siya. I scoffed. 'Yong unang sasakyan na nilagpasan ko ang second place, bago din siya just like Nic. I smirked, I thought he was a pussy pero mukhang may ibubuga naman pala. He even honked when I passed his car.

I was about to go out when I saw two familiar faces approaching his car.

"Nice try, Gabby!" Danny yelled. Ang lakas ng ulan pero mas malakas 'yong boses niya.

What the fuck? Si Gabby 'yong driver?!  I shut my door.

Luke glanced at my car. Magkasama sila ni Danny.

I felt my phone buzzed and I prayed hard na hindi ako tinatawagan ni Luke.

I let out a sigh nang makita kong text lang pala. From my bank. Nasend na sa account ko 'yong pera. 110k ang alam kong prize pero 200k ang nalagay. Just then, Primo messaged me.

I didn't know Primo's that loaded. I replied a thanks then left the place after giving the boys a final glance.

I parked my car inside Big Shaq's garage. It's already late at gusto ko ng matulog. I've got a bedspace at the corner dahil ayokong pumapasok sa bahay ni Big Shaq. 

"Congrats"

I grabbed the wrench near me. I turned around just to see... Nicoli. Again. Bored na binitawan ko 'yong wrench. I grabbed my tablet inside my car instead.

'Wat r u here for?'

Nic smiled at nakuha pa niyang sumandal sa sasakyan ko. Sa bandang may gasgas dahil sa kanya.

"I just want to congratulate you, squirt. You really are a badass out there"

I internally rolled my eyes. 'Inaantok na ako, Nic. I want to sleep. So, out' I pointed at the door.

He poked my nose. "Chill. Gusto ko lang sabihin na mukhang hindi na namin mabibili 'yong bahay mo kasi..." he sighed "... natalo ako ni Gabby kanina"

So, may laman 'yong race kanina? Between them?

'Anong kinalaman ni Gabby sa bahay?'

"You see, he threatened me na ipapaterminate niya ako sa school, with Dany's help, kapag tinuloy namin 'yong pagbili ng bahay. Actually, I think he's doing that not for you but for that nerd lass."

'We both know na hindi madaling gawin 'yon Nic, as long as wala kang ginagawa against the school policy and such'

"Yup so I made a proposition"

'And that is?'

"The race. Hindi namin mabibili 'yong bahay kapag natalo ako ni Gabby and kung sakaling manalo naman ako, I get the house and the... nerd"

What?

I looked at Nic pero palabas na siya ng garage. "I lost both though but maybe I can win that nerd"

Binato ko 'yong wrench sa kanya. It kissed his back. "Aray!"

'Hinding hindi mo din makukuha 'yong bahay because it's rightfully mine, Nic. You did some witch stuff to get the papers pero alam nating pareho na hindi mo 'yon makukuha completely'

He turned his back. "Yeah yeah. I was just messing with you. I don't like that house anyways. It's just to taunt you..." he looked at me "...cuz".

Ano daw? Cuz? Cousin?

He waved bye then I heard his car leaving the area.

I swear! Ang daming alam ng Nic na 'yon!
