Sky's P.O.V

I slowly opened my eyes and yawned when I felt someone poking my arm. I immediately thought it was Liam, but when I turned to the source, I was wrong.

"Ruben?" I asked, softly.

Ruben was right above me with a big grin on his face. He stopped poking and took the covers off me.

"Come on sleepy head. It's almost 10 AM. We have to get ready." He said excitedly. I yawned again and sat up.

"Why?" I asked. He looked at me and placed his hand on his hip and sighed.

"Today is the ceremony that's going to be held for Blake. He's going to be our Beta!" He said excitedly.

"Ok, just wait outside. Let me just take a shower." I said while grabbing my towel, underwear and a bra. He nodded his head and walked outside. I walked into my bathroom. I placed the towel on the hanger next to the shower and placed my bra and underwear next to it. And stripped out of my clothes and went in the shower.

I sighed when the water heated up and relaxed my tense muscles. I applied shampoo on my hair and cleaned it through. After using conditioner, cleaning my body and rinsing everything, I closed the water, grabbed the towel and wrapped it around my body.

I wore my underwear and bra and walked outside of the bathroom with the towel around my body.

I put on some makeup. My makeup wasn't too much, it was simple and nice. I curled my hair, so my hair was down in soft bouncy curls. I got up from the chair and took a dress from the closet.

The dress was beautiful. It was a short red dress that was tight up to the waist but looses down the waist. I changed into the dress.

I walked towards the mirror and smiled at myself. I looked pretty good. I walked to the window and looked out of it to see lots of people walking around and kids playing together.

I put on my black pumps, then walked outside my room. Ruben was outside, waiting for me and when he saw me, he smiled.

"Let's Go." Ruben said. We walked out of the pack house. We walked until we made it to the field. The place was full of people who I don't know. There were some members who looked familiar, but many who I never saw before.

"Stay here, the ceremony is about to start." He said. I nodded my head and looked up to where the stage was placed.

Soon Liam came up on the stage and everyone in the crowd went silent. I tried to keep my state anywhere but him.

Someone touched my shoulder and I jumped. I tried not to jump again when I saw it's that badass girl. I contained my jump but not the facial expression of fighting gravity - not a pretty expression.

"Are you going to make out with the stage?" She asked.

I furrowed my eyebrows at her suggestion. "Excuse you?" I'd probably get splinters on my lips.

"You've been staring at the stage so long I thought you fell in love with it."

"I didn't want to cause your stage to cheat on you with me." What the hell did I even said?

At first, she looked horrified. She's going to kill me. I know it. She chuckled lowly. "At least I'm attractive enough that I don't need a stage to be kissed." She tilted her head to the side, stared at me with her grey eyes, which is very disconcerting. "I'll let you get away with that for now, but say something like that again to me, and well, I'll make sure even a stage wouldn't kiss you."

My toes curled and my nose wrinkled.

"Do I make myself clear?"

"Perfectly."

She turned away.

"I hope that you'll enjoy the ceremony." I called after her.

Blake, Linda, and dad passed by me. Blake's hand twitched as he walked by. He was nervous. I wanted to reach out and take it, but I know how irrational of a decision that would be.

Liam and dad and Linda all gave a speech about how spectacular Blake will be as a Beta. Okay, they didn't use the word spectacular, but with the amount of praise they're giving him, they might as well.

And Ruben had told me, no human sacrifices. There's even a fire burning. Though to be fair, a baby could hardly fit in that bowl.

I saw Blake rolled his sleeves up and he walked towards the ball with the fire.

"Come here Blake," Liam said, "and cut your hand to symbolize your loyalty to me, to symbolize that you would spill your blood for me. Take my left hand over the fire to show your willingness to do whatever I ask, and finally press your cut to mine, so we're forever bound by blood."

Well, that sounds intense.

"You enjoyed the ceremony?" Ruben asked.

I rolled my shoulder back, "It was definitely interesting."
