Lunch time came and Newt and Thomas made their way to the canteen. The line was incredibly long. Normally Newt didn't bother with school lunches but Thomas said he was hungry so he was wiling to wait.

They made light conversations as the line slowly moved forward. "Well well well look what we have here the blonde bitch made a friend!" Gally the biggest bully in the school said while his entourage snickered behind him. Thomas' eyes instantly changed from soft and loving to angry. He holds an intense stare at Gally.

"So what makes a pathetic loser like you think you can actually have friends." Gally spat. He stepped forward towards the shy boy. "Go on then answer me" Newt remained quiet. Gally lost his patience and punched the blonde boy in the stomach winding him and probably leaving a bruise he did it again and again.

Thomas was trying to remain calm but he couldn't. He went up to Gally and punched him in the face. "Stay the fuck away from me and this boy or I swear to god I will not hesitate to put you in hospital." Thomas spat venom laced in each syllable.

Gally instantly shrunk an was terrified. Thomas easily towered over Gally. No had ever stood up to him he had no idea what to do so he just crawled away. Thomas glanced down at Newt he was curled up tightly. His body shook gently to indicate he was crying. Thomas picked him up and carried him into an empty room. "Newtie I promise as long as I'm here no one is going to hurt you. If they do I'll hurt them." Thomas whispered. Newt looked up and smiled "thank you Tommy you're the only person that's ever cared enough to stop them." Instinctively Newt wrapped his arms around Thomas. After a moment of shock Thomas hugged back.

"I love you" Thomas said. This made Newts heart fill with joy. Looked into the brunette's eyes and saw that he truly meant it.

Newt began to lean in Thomas noticed this and felt conflicted however he began to lean in too. Until their lips met. The kiss was magical it felt like they where the only two in the world. It was sweet but passionate. Their lips moved in sync until the school bell rang.

They pulled away happy. "We have a free period next" Newt giggled
