Waverly Mose
Lime green orbs stared down at me as my body withered in pain. My screams had been silenced by a single strip of silver tape. My limbs bound by a rough rope that dug and tore into my pale flesh. I wanted to escape. I wanted to run back into the arms of my lover, but I knew that day would never come. He was an alpha and I was an omega. We would never be together, if his ungodly parents had it their way. It was their fault that I was bound here lying on the forest floor. If their son knew what I was going through, he would do everything in his power to save me.
“Have you had enough? Or have you not learned your lesson yet? Stay the fuck away from my brother!” The guy screamed glaring down at me. When did he become so evil? He wasn’t the evil one, he was the good one.
“Have you had enough?” He hollered ripping the tape off of my lips. I let out a yelp of pain before biting down on his hand.
“You little bitch!” He cried out before kicking me in the stomach. This caused me to fly into one of the trees about fifteen yards away.
“Answer me now!” He snarled lifting me up by my torn shirt. His eyes reminded me so much of his brother, my one and only.
“Deal.” I whispered in defeat. These beatings were killing me.
“Stay out of his dreams. Stay out of mirrors. Do not ever try and contact him again.” He sighed before slinging me on the ground. I closed my eyes as tears started to stream down my face. Loosing my love was far worse than being beaten by those who used to be my closest friends.
“Waverly!” My father screamed beating on my bedroom door. I let out a groan before tearing myself from the warmth of my bed. I haven’t left my bed in at least a week, minus using the bathroom. When I opened the door I expected to see my father glaring down at me with anger, but I was greeted by his strong arms engulfing me in a bear hug. This wasn’t like my father. He hated touching people.
“What is wrong?” I whimpered. I still hadn’t fully healed from my beatings. My father quickly let go before handing me an envelope.
“What is it?” I questioned.
“It is from Evermore. They want you to attend. You have alpha potential.” My father beamed proudly down at me. Only a select few omegas showed potential of being an alpha some day. I guess I was one of them, but if I went…I would see him. I couldn’t face him, his brother would murder me. I couldn’t have that. I had just started to break our bond that we had. If I went there then everything would just boil back up to the surface. If I was an alpha…we could be together.
“Father, I can’t go.” I whispered looking at my trembling hands. I couldn’t risk it.
“What do you mean you cannot go? Waverly, this is a once in a lifetime shot. You have to take it. Make your mother proud.” He said trying to keep his voice calm. We never talked about my mother. Not since the night she died. The night he left me here all alone.
“Father, you don’t understand.” I whined.
“Don’t understand? Then help me understand Waverly! Tell me why you cannot attend this school! It is what your mother always wanted.” He screamed causing me to shrink away.
“Because he is there.” I screamed before slamming the door in my father’s face.
“Waverly…I’m sorry. I forgot. But you listen to me. You have wanted this more than any omega in our pack. Do not let some idiotic boy ruin that for you. Go there, and show him what he left. I love you honey.” My dad said in defeat before I heard his heavy footsteps leave. Once I knew he couldn’t hear me, I let my tears flow down my face. How could this possibly be happening? If I went, I could be killed. If I stayed here, then I would live the rest of my life in regret. Right now, regret sounds better than being killed by your lover’s brother.
These shoes hurt my feet. The clothes seemed to be unnaturally soft and made my skin itch. When I looked into the mirror I saw someone I honestly didn’t know. This wasn’t me. I wasn’t the Elite type. I was a laid back girl. I preferred a nice sweat shirt and some skinny jeans over this skimpy uniform any day. But I had to do this. I had to do this for my mother and father. For all the omegas out there. To prove to these snobby alphas that anyone could be one of them if they put their mind to it. It couldn’t be that hard. All I had to do was focus on school and avoid him.
“Hey Waverly, come on. I’ll show you the dinning area.” My roommate, Kelsie Rebar, smiled brightly at me. I only nodded before grabbing my bag and following her out into the crowded halls.
“Okay, since you are new here, you are going to need to know the rules.” Kelsie sighed flipper her perfect blonde hair over her shoulder as she seductively looked at one of the boys.
“Rules?” I asked slightly scared. These alphas looked deadly. They all looked at me as if I had murdered their loved ones.
“Yes, rules. Rule number one; Craven Dyer is not to be messed with. She will make your life a living hell. Rule number two; the Triplet Trio is untouchable and you do not speak to them unless they speak to you. And last…rule number three; do not do anything that an omega would do. We do not like omegas. We are superior to them. We are serious, while they are lazy. I’m sorry if I offended you, but it is the truth.” She snorted.
“Who is the Triplet Trio?” I whispered looking at her oddly.
“Camden, Lynden, and Ryden Moss. They are the hottest and godliest alphas to ever walk into this school.” She gushed. Moss…
“Oh…”
“What’s wrong?”
“Nothing. They just used to be part of my pack.” I shrugged not wanting to talk about it any longer.
“So you know them! Oh my gosh! I just love Ryden. He is so beautiful, and the fact that he is a complete virgin just adds to it.” She pretty much screamed as we entered the dinning area. It was…breath taking. I stood there in complete aw as people hurried around me.
“Problem?” Kelsie giggled.
“It’s beautiful.” I whispered hurrying up to catch up.
“I know, I so did the same thing when I first got here. I came from Trustmost.” She smiled. Trustmost was one of the poorer packs.
“I see. So where are we sitting?” I smiled grabbing a plate of French toast.
“With the Trio.” She smiled.
“I’m not sure that is a good idea.”
“Of course it is. We always sit there. And plus, they will be happy to see someone from their pack. They talk about Underling all the time.” She smiled dragging me over to the table where the Trio sat. They seemed to be in deep conversation with a group of girls.
“Hey guys, this is Waverly. Waverly this is my group.” Kelsie smiled taking a seat next to a small dark brown haired girl.
“Waverly?” Lynden whispered slowly turning around. My face turned beat red as I watched all three brothers turn to stare at me with wide eyes. Camden glared at me with hatred as I noticed his eyes turn a dark shade of green. Ryden’s eyes filled with tears as his mouth hung open. Then you had Lynden, his scruffy unshaven face was emotionless. He seemed to be in complete shock.
“Hey guys.” I smiled before taking the only open seat.
“How? You are an omega.” Camden snarled pounding his fist on the table.
“I have alpha potential.” I smirked shooting daggers back at him.
“Good luck.” He snorted sarcastically. This hurt. Seeing him hurt. He looked at me like he did that day in the forest. He wanted me dead. I had haunted his brother’s dreams and head. I probably ruined him, but I had to make sure he was okay.
“Well, I’m glad you are here. I’ve missed you.” Lynden beamed giving me a tight hug. He was warm. Too warm. When I looked at Ryden I noticed he was avoiding my gaze.
“Hey Ry.” I whispered. When he glanced up at me I saw the tears streaming down his face. It pained me to see this. I just wanted to pull him into my arms and comfort him like I used to.
“Hey Waverly. I uhm, have to go make up a test. Meet me at the fountain.” He said to his brothers before taking off. My heart let out a yelp as I watched his figure disappear into the crowds of people.
