Ryden Moss
Her lips softly brushed mine as the music blasted through the mansion. When we pulled away I felt a smile spread across my face. She flashed me one of her world famous smiles before dragging me out onto the dance floor. I couldn’t help but to laugh as I let the music take control of my body. I haven’t felt this okay with life in such a long time. It felt nice to not worry about every little thing. I pulled her body closer to me as we jumped to the up beat loosing ourselves in each other. I loved her. I always have, and I always would.
“I love you.” I screamed over the pumping music.
“What?” She giggled turning to looking up at me. Gosh, she was so beautiful.
“I said I love you!” I screamed smiling down at her. Her eyes grew wide with fear. She only shook her head before taking off into the massive crowd. What happened? What had I done wrong? I let out a growl before I took off after her. I wasn’t about to let the love of my life go that easy. That’s when I smelled the smoke.
“Come on bro. Get out of here. The cops are going to be here any second!” Lynden coughed pulling me towards the exit. I couldn’t leave her. I had to find her.
“I need to find Waverly!” I screamed feeling tears streak down my face.
“No Ry! Just come on!” He begged. I only shrugged him off before going to search for her.
“Ryden?” Her voice trembled as I frantically searched for her in the mass of people.
“Waverly!” Where was she?
“Ryden!” She called out again. I had to find her. I couldn’t loose her. She was my world. She was the only think I had left, besides my family. I didn’t even care about them at the moment. I just wanted my Waverly safely in my arms. Where she belonged.
“Ryden, we have to get out of here.” Camden growled running from the direction that Waverly’s voice had come from.
I let out a sob as I fell to my floor tangled in my sheets. I shot up with a wild expression on my face and ran my hand through my sweat drenched hair. I balled my fist and tugged on the ends of my hair before getting up and heading towards my closet. I roughly threw on a pair of jeans and a white V-neck before slipping on my running shoes.
“Where do you think you are going?” Camden yawned looking at me with dark eyes. He was angry, but I honestly didn’t care. I needed to run. I needed to get out of this school for a little while.
“I’m going on a run. I’m not exactly sure when I will be back. I need to clear my head.” I whispered glancing at him.
“You’ll get expelled if you go on a run. Take my bike for a spin.” He smiled tossing me the keys of his Ninja. I only nodded before taking off towards the underground garage.
I let out a sigh as I casually walked down the boardwalk as the sun began to peak over the ocean. The sweet, salty breeze filled my nostrils as I breathed in the beach air. This is what I needed. I just needed to escape that place. Being trapped there for almost four years had made me loose my mind slightly. I couldn’t help but to smile and sink my toes in the sand as I made my way towards the water. I rolled up the ends of my jeans slightly before dipping them into the icy ocean. I tossed my shoes and shirt just out of the water’s reach before diving in. I let out a chuckle as I let my body drift out into the uncharted waters. The ocean water seemed to pour over my tense body as if it was trying to sooth away all my worries. I needed to forget her. Even though she was here now, I needed to remove her from my thoughts. I needed to do what Lynden suggested. I should try and date or something. But who? Craven? Oh god no. Jamie? I’m not too sure. I don’t really socialize with her. Hazel? She is way too bitchy for me. Kelsie? Possibly, she is a sweetheart. Arianna? I did have a lot of fun with her at Lynden’s gig. I quickly submerged myself in the salty waters before swimming back to the shore. People had started opening up shops and began walking along the boardwalk. I snatched up my shoes and shirt and headed towards a small little stand with hot dogs on them. It has been forever since I have eaten a hot dog. They were one of my favorite foods.
