Calum would greet you with a smile as he sat down across from you at the lunch table that day and you couldn't be bothered enough to ask what he was doing, you guys don't interact a whole lot at school and although you walk down the halls every once in a while together it's still going to draw some attention.
"why the long face boo?"
you'd managed something between a groan and a frustrated sigh and you rolled your head up to rest your chin on the tops of your hands and shoot a half glare at him.
"m'tired" you'd mumble, startled when the chair next to you was pulled out and calum's friend luke was now occupying the seat.
"woah man switching it up today? we never sit over here"
"no you're not he was just leaving"
"wow something really must be wrong if you don't even wanna see me, you didn't hate me 4 hours ago what's the difference now?"
"4 hours ago? this the chick you were bangin' last night? little ol Y/N?"
and that had pushed you over the edge past where you already were. "fuck off michael" with an eye roll, you tried to leave the table but ashton was now pulling out the chair on your opposite side and you'd been trapped.
"okay baby cakes, who pissed in your coffee?"
with another eye roll you slummed your head back down onto your hands while calum split his pb&j in half across from you and slid the other half in front of you.
"you idiots, i assume" you took note of Michael's confused face but cal just laughed and took a bite of his sandwich.
"Y/N, this is the band," you cut him off with a sigh.
"yah i figured, thank you all, by the way. I just came from Chem and i only knew how to answer like three questions and you idiots are to blame so you can all go fuck yourselves."
"Yah i take it back, Cal is definitely not fucking you, you're too good for him" You consider telling him to fuck off again but decide against it, giving in and taking a bite of the sandwich calum gave you.
"we were up all night studying how could you possibly not have done good?"
you shrugged, finishing off your half of the sandwich and reaching out to the water bottle at your left, you ignored Luke's whines of protest, downing half of his water before giving it back to him.
"Wow Y/N, welcome to the group i guess"
and that's the story of how you became friends with your hot neighbor and all his hot friends. plus how your first interaction went with the boy who you never knew you'd fall in love with went, and i don't mean calum.
