Kintau has never been normal. Kids always teased her about how she looks and how she acts. They call her names. They make fun of her. They don't care about her feelings.
No one likes her. Because she's...different. But, the truth is, she doesn't want to be like everyone else. She's unique. She doesn't have many friends, just two. They are much different than her, but they understand her.
Kintau doesn't leave her house very much. When she does, she knows there will be the popular people who think they're more important than anyone else. She knows they will tease her. But she knows she can't confine herself in her room forever. She understands why they don't like her, but she doesn't care. She's just being herself, she doesn't want to be popular or some petty princess who can't do anything herself or a girl that needs a boy to be happy.
It's just been her and her mother, Marianna, for as long as she can remember. Her father left them when she was six years old. Her world has never been the same ever since the Divine Portal was opened and her father walked in. Since then, she's been someone of great importance. The Lord of Burkwood. Everyone relies on her, but she knows there are some that don't like her. They talk about her behind her back. But she doesn't listen, fore she knows they don't like her being a Lord, she has been attacked many times but she knows how to defend herself. She has been through this kind of thing before and she's used to it.
   More people understand her now.

   And it's better this way.
