She had nothing now. He caught her. It was over. A man grabbed her arm viscously, guiding her out of the room and down a dark stairwell with a few torches hanging on the wall every few feet. The staircase led down to a large room with about twelve cells inside. The man grabbed a set of keys that hung on the wall next to the entrance of this prison and unlocked the last of the empty cells, throwing Kintau in.
Another man came in after her holding Miles in a tight grip. When the man that held Kintau opened the cell across from hers, he threw Miles inside. Kintau didn't bother trying to escape, there was no way she would succeed. She just laid there, she lost. She came to this place to find Miles and she found him but this wasn't the plan.
The men laughed at Kintau and Miles then walked out, still laughing.
"Kintau." Miles whispered. She didn't respond. "Kintau get up."
She shook her head. "No."
"Come on, we haven't lost this battle yet."
She got up into an upright position to sit down and look at Miles who was standing with his hands grasped on the bars. "No Miles, we didn't win. Actually, in case you haven't noticed, we lost big time. I didn't want this day to be like this." She was angry. Angry at Eliphas. Angry at people. Angry at the world. Angry with herself. "We lost, Miles. So don't even try to tell me that we didn't because if you haven't noticed, we're stuck in prison cells."
Miles didn't know what to say. He just stood there, no words coming out of his mouth.
Just then, two guards walked into the cellar. They weren't the same guards from last time, these ones were different. They opened Kintau's cell and in two seconds, they knocked her out.She woke up a while later, she didn't know what time it was but she was still in her cell but stripped from her clothes and left in her undergarments. She tried her best to cover herself up but there was nothing.
She looked over and saw Miles in his cell staring at the ground. "Miles?" Kintau called.
He looked over at Kintau but immediately turned away. "It's indecent to look at a girl in only her undergarments."
"Miles it's fine, we're gonna have to look at each other in what's left of our clothes eventually."
He slowly turned toward Kintau, his eyes opening a little to peek. Then he realized it wasn't that bad. "Okay, I'm sorry."
Before Kintau could respond, a guard opened the iron door and had a strange grin on his face as he unlocked Miles's cell, grabbing his arm viscously.
Kintau ran to the bars of her cell. "Wait where are you taking him?"
He giggled. "To his death sentence, sweetie."
Her eyes widened, she couldn't keep her emotions inside. Her anger spread throughout her entire body.
Are you ready?
A voice. Not Miles's, a woman's.
It is a time I shall take over this body.
Kintau couldn't control herself anymore. Her emotions were everywhere. She wasn't herself, not in this moment. She was someone else. Her eyes rolled to the back of her head until they were pure white. But something was peculiar about them. They were glowing.
She grabbed onto the bars of her cell and pulled them off one by one until there was an opening for her to get out. She pulled off the first guard's helmet and curled her fingers in his hair, pulling out some of it. She gripped his armor and threw him into the bars of a closed cell until she saw blood escaping his head. The other guard didn't know what to do. He just stood there, shocked. Kintau was smiling. A menacing, sly smile. She stepped toward him and threw off his helmet, grasping her hand around his throat. He clawed at her fingers but they wouldn't budge from his neck. She lifted his off the ground until he was in the air so she could grip her other hand around his throat. His face was turning from red to blue to purple. She threw him down, seeing that he had passed out and was no longer breathing. That was when Kintau's eyes flashed all different colors from the rainbow when they finally turned back to light blue. Her eyes slowly closed as she drifted off, passing out.
Miles picked her up and cradled her, sprinting up the stairs from the prison up to the door. He peeked out, making sure no one was there, then made a run for the exit. He had no idea what time it was but it was dark outside so he was pretty confident no one would see him. He ran for the front doors with Kintau still in his arms but before he did, he heard someone scream for guards. He sprinted into the woods, leaves crunching beneath him and broken twigs digging into his bare feet.
When he felt that he was deep enough into the woods, he cleared away piles of leaves and sticks and set the girl down under a tree to rest. He didn't have much time though, he knew there would be someone coming for him soon.
He just hoped she would wake up.Author's note: Hey guys, sorry I haven't been very active lately. It's the holidays and I've been spending a lot of time with family and have been writing a few other stories that will be coming soon! Just know that I'll be posting every Friday. That's all, bye!
