I'll miss you Aunt Marie... Crystal thought as she rode farther and farther away from her birthplace.

Or at least, what she thought was her birthplace.
-------

6 days.

That's how long Crystal has been traveling. Of course, she stopped for rest, food, directions and so on. She tried not to travel through towns, but there was times she had to. She would often get weird looks from people, just because she rode a horse. Of course, it was a time of cars and technology, not horseback olden days. Even so, it actually kind of angered her.

I mean, who would judge someone for their mode of transportation? Crystal thought.

Then join me. Together, we will destroy all those who judge you, who think you're a freak!

"Stop," She furrowed her eyebrows.

The voice in her head was really freaking her out.

~~~
"Finally! Long Island, New York!" Crystal said, exhilarated.
She had just entered the city, glad that she didn't have to travel any longer.
"We did it Nightshade! We made it!" Crystal smiled, patting Nightshade's thick neck. "Let's go get a map, baby girl."
After a little bit of searching and more weird looks, Crystal found a map.
She pulled off her backpack and dug through it. Once she finally found the letter addressed to her, she opened it.
To my dearest Crystal,
When you read this, I'm probably dead. There's something you need to know about yourself.
You're a demigod. You can read Greek, monsters want to kill you, and your mother is a goddess.
This may be difficult to understand.
Even I don't know much about you. Your father gave you to me when you were only a few months old. Of course, I knew your father was equally as dangerous as your mother. I gladly took care of you, watching you grow up. I know you'll become a beautiful young woman.
Now, the place you're going to is very safe. I know you will love it. Make sure you get the second letter to Chiron.
I love you very much, Crystal. No matter what happens in the future, just know that you are good. Okay?
Love, Aunt Marie
P.s. I put your favorite cookie recipe on the next page.
Crystal smiled and folded up the letter carefully, placing back in her backpack. She pulled out the second letter and looked at the address.
3.141 Farm Road
Crystal gently snapped Nightshade's reins and continued onto her journey.
Just when the sun was starting to set, she arrived at Farm Road. To her surprise, nothing seemed to be there, except for lush, rolling green hills.
"Aunt Marie said it was here!" Crystal exclaimed.
It took her a moment to realized she had to go up the hill. She and Nightshade slowly started to trot up the hill. She was greeted by large pines trees when she reached the top. Crystal raised an eyebrow and continued riding.
CRACK!
Crystal jumped at the sound of the twig snapping. She looked around and saw a dark silhouette somewhere in the woods.
"Who are you? Come out!" Crystal yelled, slightly frightened.
Silence.
Crystal's green eyes widened when the silhouette started walking to her. She quickly fumbled through her bag and pulled out a flashlight. A bright beam shot out of the plastic cylinder and shined onto the figure.
"Hannah?"
The figure grinned. "That's my name, don't wear it out!"
