Jealousy {Anne with an e story}

Chapter 2

There was a girl. Anne's heart had sunk. Her dreams of Gilbert and her had suddenly disappeared. Anne believed this girl was magnificent. Beautiful black hair. Deep brown eyes. A perfect smile. She was the ideal girl for Gilbert. Gilbert had approached Anne with a warm smile. Anne was sure not to look in his dreamy eyes for she was afraid to like him.

Gilbert: Anne it is so nice to see you again. I mean I'm finally back in school to compete with you. Except this time you have even more competition. This is my childhood friend, Rose

She even had a marvelous name. Rose. A magnificent flower. She then thought about how her own name was plain boring Anne.

Rose: Its nice to meet you Anne.
She was sweet too. Anne simply smiled and tried not to be to awkward, for she thought she was enough of an embarrassment.

*lunch time*
Ruby was crying her eyes out as the other girls comforted her.

Ruby: did you see the way he looked at her. My chances with him are ruined. Ruined I tell you. He will never look at me the way he looks at her

Jane: it's ok ruby he didn't deserve you anyway

Ruby: it is not fair Jane I am in love with him

Anne had enough. Her own anger about the situation was  starting to rise. Anne had been looking across the room to see Gilbert and rose laughing. It infuriated her.

Anne: YOU CANT ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU WANT RUBY. GET OVER IT. YOU WILL NEVER HAVE HIM.
Anne than stormed at of the room with Diana closely  behind.
Diana: ANNE what you said to ruby was not right you know you shouldn't have done that.  It really hurt her
Anne: I can't deal with her complaining about some stupid boy. I mean what's so great about Gilbert anyway.  He just has a great smile,dreamy eyes, amazing personality.
Diana: you like him
Anne: wow you got me *anne says sarcastically holding her hands up in the air*
Diana: Anne why didn't you tell me
Anne: whatever Gilbert and I are never going to happen.
