Jealousy {Anne with an e story}

Chapter 11

*back at Anne's house*
Anne had heard a knock at the door. She had expected it to be Diana, although it was someone she certainly wasn't expecting. As Anne opened the door it appeared to be Rose standing in her doorway.
Rose : greetings Anne may I come in. I brought scones.
Anne: sure Rose

Anne was afraid to say no for the fear that Rose would make her life a nightmare all over again

*Anne and Rose decided to talk over tea*
Rose: Anne anything I say won't be enough to ever make up for what I have done. I honestly and truthfully feel terrible about the horror I put you through. It makes me nauseous just thinking about it. It's going to take a lot of me to say this but you're pretty great Anne Cuthbert. I do hate to admit it but I mean it from the very bottom of my heart.
Anne: Why did you do it then. Why would you hurt me like this
Rose: I was jealous. Maybe it was because of the way Gilbert looked at you or because of the great friends you have. It's mainly because you have everything I've never had. I know, it doesn't make up for anything I said. I know I should completely insane asking you this but can we be friends? At least try? From the moment I got here all I wanted was to somehow be part of your friend group.
Anne: I do not completely forgive you. Although that doesn't mean I won't over time. By what you told me you're in the need of a little love.

Rose: one more thing Anne. Go get Gilbert. He would love to see you again.

Rose smiled as she watched her best friend and her new friend get together. It was a love story she had always wished to share with someone. She knew now that some people are just meant to be together. It took her this whole time to realize that Anne and Gilbert were destined to be with one another. Her terrible words would never change that.
