Chapter 18

  Anne and Diana had almost made it home. The trip was boring because the two of them were just awaiting Anne and Gilbert's reunion. They knew the trouble they were going to face from their parents for they just took off leaving just a note. At the time it seemed worth it. It would have been if Gilbert was actually there.

Anne had said her goodbyes to Diana. She then proceeded to walk up the stairs of her house and into her room. I guess her parents were not home for her return since she didn't see them in the kitchen. She reached the door to her room and carefully placed her bags on the floor of her room without looking up to see what was right in front of her, or should I say who. There was Gilbert. Right there in Anne's room. He was sitting up straight, hands folded. As soon as Anne looked up and realized she dropped her bags on the floor in awe

Gilbert: Anne these months had been tough not talking to you and I-

Before Gilbert could finish his sentence Anne ran to him and kissed him. It was what she had craved over the course of the Rose situation. It is everything Anne had ever wanted out of kiss and the person who she shared it with made it even better.
