My forehead was glossy with sweat. I eventually gave up trying to break free from the strain I was in. The car suddenly went dark and I knew we were underground. The car screeched to a halt, and the driver got out of the car without a word. He opened my door, sat me up and quickly put a dark black blindfold across my eyes. My heart pounding, my hands shaking.
"HELP!!"
I couldn't help but scream. And then again. A violent shove.
Run. Run. Move. Go. Go!
But no.. I couldn't move.
Why you ask?
"Make one move, you die. Do as I say, you live. Got it?"
I realize now he most likely has a gun. I give him no response. I hear a door on the car slam shut. He then takes my tightly tied hands and pushes me forward.
"Walk."
I move my feet forward, being careful not to trip or fall. A million thoughts swirl through my head like a mini tornado. We walk for what seems like forever, until we finally stop.
"Don't move. Stay quiet. Listen to what I say so you know what to do."
He squeezes me super hard as to give me a warning not to mess around. He pushes me forward causing me to jolt once again. We don't walk for long when we stop. I hear the jangle of a key and a loud click. We enter a building of some sort, my heart racing.
My mind lost.
My feet freeze.
"What's going on?! Move it!!"
He grips me with huge hands hitting and shaking, shoving and pushing me. I loose my footing and fall. Hard. When I try to catch myself my arms hit the ground. Unbearable pains shoots lightning fast through my body. My head catches the ground and all I see is a flash of light.
Then.
I'm back.
More and more even worse pain starts to come back. I see a gray concrete floor. And a bright light shining onto the ground from the ceiling. Lights farther down make it even brighter. A pool of blood grows on the floor under me.
"Shit!"
The driver walks around to wear the blood grows bigger and bigger by the moment. He turns his head back and forth as to see if anyone has noticed what he had did to me. I don't think he was supposed to hurt me. Orders by a bigger boss man maybe?
But why would they want me?
"Get up!! Come on!!"
He expects me to get up after pushing me to the ground. I don't move or try to sit up in any way. The man grunts in frustration. He lifts me putting his arms under mine. When I don't move my legs at all, he starts to walk backwards, dragging me along. He has forgotten about the blindfold. The ground is a dark concrete parking lot. The lights are the same blinding ones that are in the building. I guess we are still underground, hidden from the world and lost from sight.
A small river of blood follows me along to wherever I seem to be going. My head dizzy and distraught the man leans me against the familiar black car running around to the drivers side of the vehicle. My eyes heavy, I try and keep them all the way open but it seems impossible. The dark red blood comes from my head, my arms and my legs. The man comes back around for me, sliding me out of the way and pulling on the door handle.
Once it clicks open he puts me into the car laying my head down and then using my legs to slide me all the way to the door on the other side. I notice red stains on the mans hands once he slips them from under me. He wipes them on his jeans. I am now realizing he changed out of his white doctors coat. He slams the door by my feet and gets into the driver seat by my head. He pushes on the gas, the whole car jolting forward.
The car speeds up and soon we are on what seems like a bumpy gravel road back above ground. Through the window all I can make out is a pitch black sky with only a few random stars seeming to peek through. The sound of wind and passing cars drown out my ears. I don't remember anything else after this. I must have fallen asleep or passed out. But what I do remember is waking up to what I could have never imagined.
The glaring lights of,
Red..
White..
And Blue..
