Emma’s P.O.V.
Returning back to the house I have called home since I arrived here, I looked around the place for a final glance before leaving. “Emma? You’re back already?” Sabine walked out from the living room. “Yes, I am. However, I will be leaving either early tomorrow morning or later this evening.” I tried to keep a warmth to my voice, but it wouldn’t stay.

“Oh. I take it your mother finally called you and is having you go back.” She looked at the ground. “Yes.” I began the slow ascent up the ladder to the room I have been staying in. Sighing softly, I began to pack all that belonged to me alone. “So...we’re leaving then?” Tikki popped out of my purse. “I guess we are.” I glanced out the window before resuming my avid folding and packing.

“I guess I get to go back to China with you instead.” Tikki sat on the desk. “What are you talking about, Tikki? You have been to China before I?” I looked at her curiously. “I guess it’s time to tell you then. You’re mother was my previous holder and she wasn’t able to do all that she could before she had you, so she gave her miraculous back to Master Fu who gave them to you.” Tikki smiled sadly.

“Oh...I would have never imagined my mother as a miraculous holder.” I sighed. “Your father was also a miraculous holder. He was the previous Chat Noir. I guess Alex got his miraculous after he gave it up. Your father didn’t want to fight alongside another Ladybug besides your mother, so he gave his up to be with her instead.” Tikki thought about the memory with a smile.

“That was kind and sweet of him...to think of his wife so greatly to give up his miraculous as she did.” I smiled, continuing to pack. “I thought so. Now you and Alex are engaged and you are going back home with him. I hope your parents are okay with this…” She tried to help me. “As am I.” I finished packing and stood.

“We should get your stuff downstairs and see if Alex is done packing.” Tikki smiled brightly. “Yeah, we should.” I agreed, collecting my bags and hauling them downstairs when I heard the loud wind from a jet overhead. I guess it’s time to say goodbye. I glanced into the living room where Tom and Sabine were cuddling.

“Tom, Sabine, I must be leaving now.” I tried to speak clearly. “We know, dear. We came to see you as our own true granddaughter. Try to visit once in awhile.” Sabine hugged me tightly. “I will try.” I hugged back. “Alex should be here soon as well, so you won’t be alone.” Tom looked saddened by my departing as well. “I will see you both as soon as I can.” And with that I left.

-In China, at the palace-

Sighing, I got out of the car and faced my home. “Woah.” Alex seemed to be in awe. “Come on, it is time to face my parents.” I took his hand with a smile and made my way into the palace. “Emma! You are home! Thank goodness nothing happened to you!” Grandmother Adeline smiled as she ran over to me. “Grandmother, it is wonderful to see you again.” I smiled as I hugged her, tears running down my face.

“Do not cry, dear.” She hugged me back tightly. “Mother! Do not crush my daughter before I am able to hug her.” Mother walked down the stairs gracefully with Father behind her. Giggling, Grandmother and I released each other as I ran over to my Mother. “It is good to see you happy again, Emma.” Mother and Father both hugged me.

“Who is this handsome young man?” Grandmother Adeline was already bothering Alex. “Mother, Father, Grandmother, this is Alex. He is the son of Alya and Nino. He is also my-” I was abruptly cut off by my mother squealing. “Emma! I am so glad you have found a man. Thank goodness. You are to be married at once.” Mother smiled brightly.

“Oh no…” I muttered. “Emma? What’s wrong?” Alex walked over to me, grabbing my hand. “My mother is going to plan our wedding…” I sighed as I saw the happily wicked smile on Mother’s face. “Is that bad?” He looked confused. “Dear, may I help?” Grandmother Adeline chimed in. “Of course you may, Mother.” Mother’s smile became even more wicked. “Alex, run.” I whispered and took off to my room before things went out of hand.
