Chapter Seven - Reclaim
I never had seen Brandon's form, but I recognized it was a lot similar to Griffin's as they ran. Brandon is huge. Is Brandon a... a first generation?
I shook my head and kept running. It was hard to keep up with the two because they were so fast. I have so many questions for those two as soon as we reach our destination.
They both stopped in front of Griffin's house. I laid down and regained my breath. Both Brandon and Griffin shifted back to their human forms and stepped inside.
I sure hope they weren't expecting me to do the same cause that ain't gonna happen.
A minute later, Griffin stepped out with a pair of jeans on and a long sweater in his hands. I felt myself salivating at the sight of him. Him and that V. Jesus.
"Shift, Sam," Griffin ordered amused. I shook my head. No way. "Oh, come on, I've seen you naked before. I've had sex with you before. You can shift in front of me."
I huffed. He was not going to leave. I shifted back and quickly snatched the sweater from him and put it on. Fortunately, it was so big that it came a little past mid-thigh. Griffin brought his hand up to my cheek and caressed gently.
"Promise to keep an open mind," he said softly.
"I'm feeling that I won't have much of a choice, you know," I murmured. He smiled and brushed his thumbs along my lips.
"When we're done..." He said gazing at me, his eyes were so intense. I shook my head.
"I cannot have sex with you again," I said firmly, "I can't."
He grinned. "Yes, yes you can." He slipped his hand in mine and led me to where Brandon was. He ran his hands through his hair and smiled at me.
"Feeling better?" Brandon asked. I shrugged.
"I'm confused."
"By us?" Griffin asked motioning to Brandon and himself. He let go of my hand and sat in the chair side by side to Brandon's.
"Yes," I said lowly.
"Well, for starters, I should aware you of the fact that Alpha Cameron is not the actual Alpha of this pack," Brandon said leaning forward. I furrowed my brow.
"What?"
"Just listen, Sammantha," Griffin coaxed.
"Adam Caruso is the Alpha of this pack, Alpha Cameron is the false figurehead. The reason being, because of the Auron clan," Brandon said and looked over at Griffin.
I also casted a glance of him. He sighed and looked away.
"The Caruso clan is what this pack is really called, you know. A thousand years ago, all of that changed because of the Auron clan. You do remember what textbooks have said about this town, right? That it was burned to the ground, that's the truth, it was... by the Caruso clan," Brandon explained.
Whoa.
"I guess, I would be better at explaining it because I was there," Auron said lowly, as if he were ashamed.
"What?"
"I was a kid at the time, but I still remember that day perfectly," Auron murmured. "If you didn't already know, I'm the last Auron. My clan was invaded and wiped out by the Caruso clan. The Caruso's and the Auron's have always been enemies, simply for the fact that we always shared the same ideas but had different morals. Auron's are classy, Caruso's are greedy, selfish, and destructive. A thousand years ago, my father who was the Alpha at the time received information that a clan wanted to obtain this land. This land was precious to us Auron's because it was the beginning for us. We were a very large and respected pack. We declined the offer, and later we found out it was the Caruso's who wanted this land. Clearly we were even more enraged by the audacity they had of even thinking about obtaining this land. My father wanted to wage war on them, but my mother objected, so we didn't. Little did we know, they weren't taking no for an answer. They had to have assumed and prepared for us to say no, because the night after the message was received our whole entire clan was set on fire. From entrance to the exit of this town was ablaze. Then wolves were sent in to wipe out everyone who weren't killed my by the fire. My family had survived. I remember being held captive in front of your great grandfather. I remember your great grandmother. Your great grandfather tried to reason with my father and negotiate with him but my father refused. They killed my father, then my mother, then my sisters, and brothers, my eldest brother told me to run, so I did. I vanished and I never turned back to this town."
