A/N: Gahh, 5,000-word chapter!! You guys better have time on your hands!! :D Although, I kinda think the first part of this chapter is pretty lame, but it picks up towards the end :))
Also, the A/N at the end of this chapter is pretty long but there's some stuff in there that might interest you - such as the official ship name for Harry and Leah.... ;) So stick around for that if you wanna :p
"Do you, Caleb Hout, take this woman, Liberty Cole, to be your lawfully wedded wife - for better or for worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish 'til death do you part?"
"I do."
"And do you, Liberty Cole, take this man, Caleb Hout, to be your lawfully wedded husband - for better or for worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish 'til death do you part?"
"I do."
Even though I should've been focusing on the wedding, my thoughts really couldn't help drifting back to what Harry had said to me just before we left for the church.
"You really do look beautiful tonight, Leah."
His words had caught me by so much surprise that I had absolutely no idea how to reply. In the end, all I ended up doing was flash him a small, shy smile and utter a soft, pathetic "Thank you" while my cheeks burned a fiery red at his compliment. And honestly, when I look back on my response, I really wanted to slap myself.
"You have for each other a golden ring. This most precious of metals symbolizes that love is the most precious element in your life together. The ring has no beginning and no ending, which symbolizes that the love between you will never cease. You place these rings upon each other's fingers as a visible sign of the vows which, this day, have made you husband and wife..."
That was literally the worst way I could've ever responded to a comment like that. I should've replied with something coy and flirty, like "You don't look so bad yourself".
Why, why didn't I say that instead?
I just had to make a fucking fool out of myself. A gobsmacked, bashful and blushing fool. But it was pretty much what I was always like around Harry, I guess.
And, to be even more honest...I still couldn't believe what he said.
I still couldn't believe he called me beautiful.
No guy has ever called me that before. I mean, sure - in high school I was called things like 'hot', or 'sexy', or even 'a babe'. But not 'beautiful'. It was never, ever 'beautiful'. And so, as a result...hearing someone call me that for the very first time - especially someone like Harry - it...startled me. But...in a good way. A really good way.
"And now, by the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. Caleb - you may now kiss your bride."
The sudden loud cheering of everyone in the church erupted all around me - snapping me out of my thoughts and even making me jump a little as I jerked my head up towards the altar - my eyes widening once I realized that Caleb had already dipped Libby in his arms and was kissing her tenderly.
What?
It's over already..?
"Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you for the first time, Mr and Mrs Caleb Hout!" The wedding officiant announced with a smile.
Oh, shit...I must've gotten lost in thought...
Whoops...
"Are you OK?" Harry's voice came up from beside me, "I saw you jump."
