A/N: Hahaha, look at me updating two books in one day :p Don't get used to it, though - I just got lucky with time today :p

"What do you mean she's been sick?! W-What happened?!" I asked the nurse desperately.

I saw Harry's eyes immediately widen as soon as I spoke. And although it was truly touching how worried he seemed, in all honesty I was stressing way too much to properly register his reaction to the news in my brain.

Oh my God...

What has he done?

What the fuck has that asshole done to her?!

"Miss Marrone, does your daughter suffer from any allergies?" Alice asked me, "Like...food allergies, perhaps?"

"Er, y-yes..." I was starting to fan myself, "she's allergic to peanuts..."

"Ah. I thought so," said Alice, "Miss Marrone, please tell me: the man who brought her to us - Heath Foster - what is his relation to your daughter? Is he her father? Uncle? Family friend?"

"No, he's...he's her father," I had to stop myself from scowling as soon as I heard Heath's name.

If the result of Piper's sickness was due to him fucking something up, I swear to God...

"That's...strange," Alice sounded like she was frowning, "because when I asked him if he knew what caused Piper to become sick, he was practically clueless. And when I asked him what he'd been feeding her, he said that the only food she's eaten recently is a peanut brownie that he bought for her at a bakery."

"Are you kidding me?!" I exclaimed, "A peanut brownie?! He fed her a peanut brownie?!"

That's it.

I'm gonna fucking kill him.

"Miss Marrone, I can fully understand how upset and distressed you must be," Alice told me calmly, "but right now, I'd advise you to end this call and make your way over here as soon as possible, and we can talk more when you arrive."

"Oh, yes...yes of course. I-I'll let my boss know that I have to leave right now..." I was almost forgetting to breathe due to my level of stress.

"Thank you, Miss Marrone. I'll see you soon."

The call was ended, and the first thing I did was drop my phone on the counter and pull stressfully at my hair - my breathing so heavy and ragged that it almost sounded like I was hyperventilating.

"I can't believe this...I can't believe this..." I bit down hard on my bottom lip as I felt like I was about to cry, "Heath...you idiot...you idiot, you fucking idiot..!"

"Leah, what happened to Piper?" I'd almost forgotten that Harry had literally overheard that whole phone conversation, "Has she had an allergic reaction?" He looked and sounded genuinely worried.

I nodded and squeezed my eyes shut before letting out a sob. "My poor baby...my little baby girl..." I frantically pulled at the strings on my apron and yanked it off, "I have to go...I have to get to her now..." I started fanning myself once more, "oh, God...the hospital...how will I get there..?!"

"Where's your car, Leah? I can help you get your things, and-"

"No, I can't use my car!" I cut him off even though I didn't mean to, "My roommate's using it...because her car's getting an oil change..." I then let out a distressed, frustrated cry before I snatched up my phone, "I have to call a taxi...I-I have to..."
