Nicki Maraj'
"Ugh!" I mumbled' my skin crawling as the local crackhead Juan waved through the gas station window at me.
"Why he always waving at you?" my homegirl Candi inserted as I shrugged continuing my steps down the aisle in search of some Hot Cheetos "maybe he has a crush." she cackled.
"Uh, nah he better get his dirty ass on," I said, laughing along with her as I exit the aisle to the freezers for a pop. (soda pop)
"Thanks for loaning me that' I'll pay you back as soon as I get paid this week," Candi told me.
"That's what friends are for," I assured.
I knew if I was in the same predicament she would do the same for me since she was just that bitch' I could depend on for anything and talk about everything with' there's no secret I got that she doesn't know.
"Rico, get your little ass over here and stop running around this store," she spoke sternly to the little 6-year-old of hers as he popped his head up from behind a shelf. A headful of jet black curls all over his head. He was definitely going to be a little heartbreaker when he got older.
"Shit he sees family." I teased which made Candi roll her eyes because she had fallen in love with one of the mixed Latino boys from the Bronx and in return had two little ones' a boy and a girl, Ricardo (Rico) and Ava.
We walked up to the Mexican cashier behind the plexiglass to pay for our things and we went our way' talking how we do while she pushed Ava in the stroller while Rico held onto it so he stayed close by her side.
"Lauren still with Dwayne?" She asked as I was crunching down on some Hot Cheetos.
"Yup! She love Lil Wayne they might as well get married."
"Well there he go; I wonder who that is he with," she uttered as we got close to the rundown brick home, Lil Wayne kept at least 50 niggas on his porch haha not even lying, I really didn't see how Lauren deals with him, but I guess with relationships comes sacrifice.
"So you ain't gon' speak," he greeted in that New Orleans accent of his' this dude stuck out like a thumbtack in the city.
"Hey, Wayne."
"What's good? Dwayne."
"Shit! Wayne ain't the only nigga yall see on this porch tho."
Candi and I glanced at each other trying to figure out who ole dude was talking to cuz' it surely wasn't us.
"You got the lil eses out today, huh?" Lil Wayne asked referring to Candi kids making some dudes on the porch laugh.
"Say 'Hey' Rico?" Candi instructed.
"Shouldn't you be telling him to say 'hola' instead?"
I nudged him as he came over for a hug "give me a hug 'guh!" he uttered as I gave him one "That's what I'm talkin' bout' you too Candi..."
"Boy Bye!" she frowned while moving aside when he came to her for a hug.
"So Wayne you ain't finna introduce me to your friend?" A dark-skinned dude I ain't ever seen before questioned.
"Shit! Where are my manners this Candice she don't fuck with niggas she like them mixed Latino guys from the BX and that's Nicki she's my baby Lauren's sister," he introduced "yall that's Meek Mill he from Philly."
"Philly in the building." I grinned. Shit he was standing there looking like a snack. I don't know what it was, if you asked me' I probably wouldn't be able to give you a correct answer on what was it about him that had me hooked from the start, but he just looked good standing there with his Philly swag that was unlike any of the other dudes near him.
"Nicki! Girl!! Nicki!!!" Candi snapped me from my thoughts "c'mon I gotta take Ava home she getting fussy."
"Yeah sure," I whispered as we begin walking off.
"See you around, Nicki." I heard Meek just say so I glanced back at him and he was all I could think about even though Candi was talking to me I couldn't hear anything she was saying.
"What's wrong with you? Why you actin weird suddenly??" She questioned as I pretended I didn't know what the hell she was talking about "we've been friends for how long? I know that face and don't even think about it; that dude ugly."
"Well, you aren't supposed to find my guys attractive anyways." I reminded.
"All I'm saying is you could do a whole lot better."
"-Like what a Latino?" I teased as she rolled her dark brown eyes.
"What happened to Drake?"
"Don't make me laugh."
"He seemed like a decent guy who had his life on the right track and your parents seem to adore him." she listed.
"Drake is the son my dad always wanted that's why he wants so bad for me to date him but Drake and I are best as just friends besides he's not as innocent as you are making him out to be." I truthfully responded, sure Drake had that good guy persona but he also had a different side, one that was a fuckboy' so why would I get involved with him?
"Well, it's your life but you are going to end up a single mother messing around with a nigga that calls himself Meek."
